We loved everything about our stay at Lochmara Lodge. We stayed for two nights with our family and It was a little bit of a splurge, but did not disappoint! The location was stunning, the fact that you got there by water taxi made it remote and uncrowded, and there were plenty of things to do (hike, paddleboard, kayak). Also, the food was delicious and the staff was accommodating and helpful.

We had a fabulous stay at Te Mahia. Arriving by boat at the jetty , the view of the resort was breathtaking! We had rooms at the front of the building : wonderful sea views and only moments from the sea . Our rooms were charming and comfortable and staying in the older part of the property you got a real sense of history of the place . The food at Tinkers Kitchen was delicious: fresh and cooked to order , and a great option to BYO. The owners Trevor and Jann were great hosts : super helpful and informative. We loved our time there , and very much hope to return !

It is an architecturally designed masterpiece with floor to ceiling glass the entire way around the house so guests have views from every aspect of this magnificent house. Waterfall Retreat can host intimate groups as small as two, or larger groups of up to 16. We cater to couples, families, friends or think tank groups. With a master bedroom and four separate bedrooms, each with their own marble en-suites this haven allows a separate togetherness. You can socialise in the main pavilion, which boast a large table catering to 14 people and then retreat to your own private space, where there will just be you, the bush, the water and the birds.

Views were beautiful. Don kindly left us breakfast ingredients , including bacon and eggs. Kitchen is well equipped and Don is very generous! New and modern bathroom was great. Loved the Lay-Z-Boys - great way to enjoy the Smart TV! Superb place to stay, with such a wonderful outlook on the marina. Birdsong in the evening. Overall a wonderful ambience and lovely getaway for a long weekend.

The best stay of our trip to the South Island. Rachel couldn't have been more helpful making the stay especially pleasant. The location is on the water which is about 200 m from the private patio making for great views and a very pleasant place to relax and enjoy the local wines. If you are in the area check this out!!

We loved this retro, lockwood, family bach. It has an excellent layout for a family and the setting and views were spectacular. Tuis fed on fax flowers right beside the deck. Everything was really clean and there were plenty of dishes and utensils for cooking Xmas. It is a welcoming sort of place.
