Great, fast communication with the friendly host. The view from the living room and 2 bedrooms upstairs is spectacular. The kitchen was very well stocked, with toaster, air fryer, drip coffee machine, aluminum foil, butter paper, olive oil, condiments, and of course all the pots and pans. We cooked everyday and we lacked for nothing, which we REALLY appreciated. Very thoughtful of the host. Also..THAT VIEW. Also, I thought it was very good value given what we paid for our 5 nights in peak summer.

Great location, friendly host, DISHWASHER in the kitchen, parking right next to house, some hikes even start at the house. We even got fishing and hiking tips!
I stayed in the dorms which are a wonderful budget option for those looking to do the hikes in the area. The rooms are functional, the beds are comfortable enough, and there are two kitchens on the premises which makes cooking a bit simpler. The proprietors are doing a lot of renovations that I think will help make this place a real gem. There is a cute outdoor area that is partially enclosed.
The host is friendly and shared place of interest, the story of norway, the history of viking museum, fishing stuff and etc.
Kitchen is fully equipped and clean.
Bathroom floor is heated, clean.
Room is comfortable and clean, and view towards the beach is superb.
Nearby to Ryten and I can park here and walk to the trail head within 900m. Save you 150nok parking fee.
The location is great, you can see the most amazing sunrises from the kitchen and go for different hikes in the area. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were a good size!
The owner Slywia was very sweet and welcoming. She even upgraded our room to one with an excellent view as the room was vacant for the night.
The interiors, bathrooms and kitchen were all clean, warm and cosy.
And the views from the place are simply mesmerizing.
staff was kind and helpful. hostel is located in a quite area with a big parking lot. i liked the few storage options (tables) and a small sitting area in the room. big dining tables in both kitchens. 2 bathrooms and additional 2 toilets - great. location is perfect for the hike to ryten / kvalvika beach
