Thimari lodge was a breath of fresh air, literally. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Oia and Fira. It's rustic, yet modern decor was refreshing. The owner, Kostas, was accommodating and friendly. The concierge, George, was a professional, very responsive, and was also very patient. He fulfilled all my requests. very well cared for and wonderful hosts and staff. the host Vasilis and his brother were so kind. very friendly and so hospitable! Vasilis picked us up at the port on arrival and then another day took us to a few places for a small fee. he was very helpful and so informative. my son and I enjoyed our stay there so much. the cave house we stayed in was very cute and cozy and not once did we need to use the air conditioner despite the heat outside. the showers worked and never clogged. the beds were comfy and the tv worked very well. breakfast was delivered every morning like clockwork! very nice breakfast tray with eggs, bread, butter, spread, croissants, coffee and some orange juice. our cave had two full baths with showers which I thought for some reason we only had one in the cave but that for me was a pleasant surprise that I didn’t need to share a bathroom with my son lol. for me the location was perfect. close enough to town (10-15 min walk) but far enough from the noise and swooshing of vehicles. the pool had to be the cleanest pool I’ve seen anywhere I have personally stayed in. it is cleaned every single morning which made me feel better when we used it.
