Fenouillet

Let’s start with location. For me, Toulouse is a perfect place to take a break when heading westward in the south of France. For example if you are going from Nice to La Rochelle the Chateau is a comfortable day’s drive. Situated approximately 8km northwest from the city center and hidden away on the countryside, it is an easy jump back onto the main auto-route (highway) that leads to the west coast and relatively close to the airport as well. Our host, and his two year old Border Collie, Achilles, warmly welcomed us as we rolled in through their front gates. (#24, use the doorbell/camera to communicate and gain access) The exterior, interior design, swimming pool all were exactly as pictured in the website. Big bed, beautiful flowers and trees in the large garden. The owner, a true Renaissance man and motorcyclist, not only has single-handedly done almost all of the remodeling here, but he is a talented amateur chef as well. We had an excellent continental-plus breakfast and on our second night we had a home-made seafood dinner. I believe there are plans to make dinners available with an obligatory advance notice, we were the first “test case”. We were very pleased. For the practical minded, there are many car repair and service shops along the way, as you will see as you head toward “Fenouillett” - the village where the Chateau is hidden. Also there is an immense shopping mall 2km away with a cinema, basketball shoes, sushi.

Our stay at Claire’s cottage was truly a memorable and enchanting getaway. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the impeccable cleanliness and attention to detail in the charming cottage. It was evident that Claire takes great pride in creating a welcoming, cosy atmosphere and maintaining a high standard for her guests. Every aspect of the cottage was thoughtfully arranged, and we found everything we needed to feel at home during our stay including a bright shower room, and a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee machine, electric kettle, fridge, stovetop, oven, washing machine, TV, plenty of pillows and cushions, garden furniture and more. We appreciated having a little garden of our own in addition to the patio, where the serene atmosphere provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation. We cherished every moment and especially enjoyed our evening snacks al fresco. Claire’s hospitality was exceptional, and we are grateful for her warm welcome and genuine care during our stay. The amenities provided exceeded our expectations, and we appreciated the personal touches that made our experience truly special. Her prompt communication and willingness to address any queries or concerns were commendable. She speaks English like a native! On a scale of 1 to 10, we would rate our experience at Claire’s cottage a resounding 10. The memories created during our stay will be cherished for years to come. We would highly recommend the cottage in Beauzelle to anyone seeking a peaceful and delightful retreat, yet so near the centre of Toulouse and Blagnac airport. The parking space is an added bonus if you have a car! And so is Colette, the playful dog who was disciplined enough not to enter the cottage. Thank you Claire for sharing your beautiful cottage with us and for being such a gracious host. We sincerely hope to have the opportunity to visit again in the future.

Absolutely beautiful it has a Wow factor. It was so nice. Unfortunately I got here late and really my journey had been exhausting so just needed to shower and change but this place is so well laid out nice bathroom and living space, the owners are very nice as was the daughter and it made it a very nice experience. I would definitely recommend .
