The Chateau de Villefargeau is a very picturesque, quiet, relaxing place to stay. The Chateau is close to Auxerre for easy transport by car, taxi or bicycle. The host is delightful, very helpful and friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The 2 bedroom place we stayed in was lovely with large rooms and a very comfortable bed. We would revisit in a heartbeat. While on our morning or dusk stroll around the grounds we saw resident wild deer feeding - very special!

Being located just outside the town, we had easy access to many shops on foot. Very peaceful area. Apartment finished to a very high standard. Fully equipped wanted/needed nothing in order to cook, clean, wash, and launder.
