It was filthy and in dire need of maintenance.
It was filthy and in dire need of maintenance. I bought cleaning products did lots of cleaning but unfortunately could not clean upholstery or purchase a new bed pillow (which stank). I paid a supplement for my two small dogs which they say is for cleaning, but it did not look at all like the place had been cleaned for a long time. Lots of flies which I guess is to be expected with a place so dirty. The bar area stank of the resident dog.

On arrival we were greeted warmly.
On arrival we were greeted warmly. Our room was light, spacious and very clean. It was so nice to have windows that we could open and our view was over the very pretty courtyard. Breakfast was superb.

The beds were really comfortable and we had a fold up bed for our daughter which was also comfy. Very happy to see they had blackout blinds too. Peter was the main contact there and he was very helpful. The breakfast was lovely. The hotel overall is very cosy and I can see that it would be a lovely place to stay in the summer as the outdoor seating area is a nice touch.

Once in the courtyard, reminiscent of a French holiday chateau, you get the feel that you are now staying with old friends, where nothing is too much trouble and you can relax and unwind with a game or two, such as bagatelle. Excellent Wifi. Good cooked breakfast.
