This is a place to sleep, no more, no less. Although the staff only speak minimum English they really do their best to help you. We also left our luggage here for free during our 3 day Quilotoa loop.

The only reason to stay here was to get an early bus to the Quilotoa loop. Walked round and there were zero attractions to visit. Even the churches were shut but that may have been due to the State of Emergency. Didn't eat out because I didn't see anywhere open I fancied eating in.

Though not much to do in the city, it's nevertheless a convenient stop for accessing all the nearby volcanoes and lakes. The city has a potential, it needs a bit of tourism infrastructure to encourage longer stay rather than a quick passing through.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. We could drop our luggage here for 2 days to do the Quilotoa multiple day hike. The staff also helped with transport to get there. This was a bit of hassle because we arrived quite late, yet they made extra effort for us to make it work. Nice food, clean room, and excellent Ecuadorian wine. Thanks for a great stay!
Very helpful staff!! Marcel informed us how we can get to all these beautiful places around and in Latacunga. AND: Marcel was super helpful and caring when we were unfortunately robbed in the bus. Marcel and his mother drove us to the next police station - caring so much about us! Thank you so much!
The room and the breakfast were also excellent!
We stayed for one night and it was a good location. Very convenient to go around the place such as walking to the city center as to catch a taxi in front of the hotel. The staff is very friendly and provides answers to questions on how to best move around with buses. We opted in for the breakfast which was a great choice, definitely recommended!
The price is cheap for a double room with bathroom, almost half the price of anywhere else we could find to book online. The staff were helpful. It was useful being able to get breakfast at the hotel for an extra charge. You can walk to town and the main bus station from the hotel.
Everything was great, they even offered me a room upgrade upon arrival since the hotel was low in reservations. The breakfast was perfect and they even offered to open the restaurant the evening I arrived, but I chose to head out to a local spot.
The hotel was gorgeous! The manager was wonderful and very helpful. She allowed us to leave our luggage there for 3 days in a secure room. Breakfast was delicious. We loved our stay! Absolutely charming place with lovely dogs in the courtyard.
the first room was not fully clean but the very kind staff upgraded our room. our second room was lovely and we had a great time, despite the road works outside (no fault of the hotel). the staff were friendly and helpful every time we spoke.
Hotel Rosim looks a bit old fashioned but everything else makes up for it. The staff is incredibly helpful (owner even drove us to the bus station), the location could not be better and they have an amazing breakfast. Could not ask for more.
the Hotel was pretty confortable. excellent atention and very kind people. i came here thanks to Jaguar Expeditions which is an excellent tour and transport agency
nice recommendation i will come back for sure
The hotel was centrally located in Latacunga, near restaurants and shops and a 15 minute walk to the bus station. They also offered luggage storage for $1/day in a very secure bunker-type basement
The location was central, to national parks in the area. It was also walking distant to several nice restaurants within the central city.
Additionally, the hotel was gorgeously decorated.
This is a beautiful hotel. The street outside is very busy but you would never know it as the hotel is so tranquil. William was amazing. Anything we needed he helped us.
The hotel staff were really friendly. The rooms are decent-sized and comfortable. Breakfast was filling and it was only a 10 minute walk from the bus station.
Very kind owner! He explains you all you need to know for the Quilotoa Hike or about Latacunga, and you can safely leave your luggage at his hotel for FREE.
