Cancún beaches and area is very beautiful! White sandy beaches with clear and transparent sea water.
With a very nice night life and lots of restaurants.
Additionally, it's relativity close to many archeological sites, nature reserves, and family parks.

It's not a place if you don't speak Spanish.
It's not a place if you don't speak Spanish. I got on the beach and I could not get off because there was no exit to get off it was all private with fences. No seemed to speak English or help. It's not friendly and very aggressive to you as you walk through areas. Better figure out how to get. Pesos and then figure out how to use them. Very disappointed for a place that hardly anyone knows English for a place like Cancun.

This is absolutely my favorite spot to vacation .. the people, the beaches, the weather .. it is just so beautiful. At no time did I ever feel unsafe. We took buses, taxis, and walked places and had no problems at all. Xcaret is a must - the wildlife and natural beauty is breath taking. We ate at our resorts most of the time, but we did go to a couple little taco spots. Everything was good. We visited Juarez Beach, Isla Mujeres, Playa del Carmen, and ventured to some cenotes. The people are absolutely awesome and truly treat you like "familia" if you show them you are interested in them and their culture.

Everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect. During our trip we visited Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel and Cancun.
The 2nd day we took an amazing snorkeling tour in PC and the 3rd day we went to Xcaret…the most amazing place that has everything. My favorite part…Mexico Spectacular Show 😍😍😍!
The last 2 day in Cancun we stayed in the hotel and its beach and we had a walk to the night club area and restaurants.
We did something different everyday, including where and how we ate. Some days we cooked in our hotels because it’s pretty easy to get groceries or to eat in a local market!
We were really tired the last days but I didn’t want to go back home yet, I still wake up at home wishing I could go out to enjoy that surprisingly spectacular landscape!
Everybody can see there’s never enough time to know everything The Riviera Maya offers!!

Cancun is beautiful.
Cancun is beautiful. The beaches are amazing and the nightlife was so fun. I enjoyed the street food and drinking margaritas. Be selective of where you book your stay. My hotel was unfriendly (Adhara Hacienda) to me. They ruined my trip. Do not book here!
All inclusive package means you pay for nothing at the hotel.. buffet options are great and can order room service 24×7 which was great.. pools were big and various sizes from kids to adults.. staff was very courteous and welcoming.. they had activities such as bingo, corn hole, etc. throughout the day by the pool.. rooms were clean and had ocean view balcony.. beach was clean and next to the property.. bus stop was right at the property..last day they allowed us to use the facilities even after check out.. good value for money
The hotel is very good, very friendly staff. We stayed for one week, but we did not have all inclusive, as we had trips around Cancun area almost every day.
It took us around 20 minutes to get from and to the Airport, depending on the trafic(with taxi). Also, if you want to get around hotel zone or to go to downtown Cancun, you can take the bus which goes on the Main road, R1 or R2.
The hotel also has a nice beach, but unfortunately, in the period we stayed the waves were quite big and almost all days we had a red flag.
This was the perfect spot to spend our brief layover in Cancun! We wanted to avoid the crowds and expected noise/party scene and were SO happy we chose somewhere a bit further from the airport. It was well worth it. It was beautiful, peaceful, relaxed, and extremely easy. Our host, Diego, met us at the airport (upon request/previous arrangement) and provided transportation for a very reasonable fee. He also provided coffee from his plantation in Mexico, which we have taken home with us (delicious and a very nice touch!).
Our host was very welcoming and friendly. He was flexible about the changes in our arrival time (our flight got rebooked and we arrived in the early ams). He also gave us some tips not only about Cancun, but also the rest of our stay in Mexico.
If you want a calm and quiet place, Cielito Lindo is a great choice, it's in a quiet street ina residential area, far from the hotel district.
There is a mall nearby, so you can do your shopping if you want.
He also made us great breakfast.:)
All in all, strongly recommended!
The location is suitable for people who want the vibe of a hotel with a personal touch. There's a small kitchenette with salt, pepper and oil. They also have pots, plates and cutleries to make it easy to make a meal yourself. It is self-service, so you're given a code, and once you come in, you sort everything else yourself. There is no room service available. They have a fridge with some water and drinks available. The area is close to the airport in Cancun. It is a good value for money.
I booked this for my GF who was traveling alone from chiapas to Toronto and had a stopover in Cancun. The area around the hotel is kinda sketchy because its near the airport but the hotel is totally safe and the people are really helpful. They will pick you up and drive you to the airport for half the price of the official taxi, and the room is big and comfortable. This is the only affordable option that's actually decent, highly recommended
Absolutely DO NOT recommend. 100% disappointed. Worst value for money in Cancun. Absolutely shocking breakfast. Scamming taxi services. We visit Cancun all the time for work. Would DEFINITELY NOT RETURN.
AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT TO RUIN YOUR HOLIDAYS!!! DEFINITELY AVOID FOR A NIGHT BEFORE A FLIGHT.
We are still waiting for our transfer to take us to the hotel, they ignored it. So we could get scammed by the taxis at the airport.
This hotel represents good value for money. It is very clean, the bed was comfortable and shower was hot and spacious. It is a basic hotel that represents value as opposed to luxury, so don't be misled by the 4 stars. The shared kitchen is handy and the outside space is lovely. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend Villa Sofia for a short stay if passing through Cancun.
Location is great , buses run all day and night every 5 mins from right outside Brisas Apartments
Pool , beach sensational ! Room with sea view beautiful ! It’s not a 5 star hotel but it’s clean everything works and it’s an awful lot cheaper and we didn’t want to not leave a hotel for 2weeks we wanted to see Cancun
Staff is extrmely friendly. The food was good, bartenders very, very fast and followed any specifics on your drinks. Activities along the days are very good both for family and friends. I've been on 4 all inclusive hotels in cancun (including Hilton and Hardrock) and this one was much better in every aspect.
They had good hospitality. Explanation at the first time was very clear and showed restaurant, pool area and more in the hotel was super helpful.
We got good deal for all inclusive for 24 hours and we got 2 times dinner, breakfast, lunch and drinks at the bar. We loved staying there.
Actually hotel services are better than in the description of the hotel. It is all inclusive hotel with 4 stars, but variety of food and drinks are like in 5 stars hotel. A lot of different extras like several pool bars, food corners that serves food all day long.
The staff were so nice and helpful, the hotel is great with spacious rooms and in a chill area. This was exactly what we were looking for because we were not interested in an all inclusive since we were in Cancun to go diving.
The main or more likely the only advantage of this hotel is that it is extremely close to the airport. I always use it if I have a flight departing from Cancun's airport early in the morning.
All inclusive is the way to go! Clean pool and beach, nice weather, great restaurants and great food. Will come again with family. Thank you to Occidental costa Cancun..
Great hotel by the airport if you want to avoid the highly priced Cancun resorts and need a night stay to catch a flight. Friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet.
