Beautiful Appartement, perfect Location, in very, very beautiful area. Playground was also right on the corner, perfect with kids. We did had everything what we need and even more. Got also amazing advice where to have a dinner and it was amazing good experience. We felt like at home.

The location was convenient for us. A 4-minute drive from Obertraun and a few minutes drive from the cable car to the 5 Fingers observation deck. We found the place easily. There is free parking nearby. Check in is quick and easy. The room is well lit and clean. There is a large window in the shower and it is ventilated. The person in charge was very kind and gave us good advice. Definitely a pleasant attitude.

we enjoyed the location, the little and charming bungallows, the rich breakfast and the outstanding multilingual staff. Additionally, the activities to do are numerous (biking, hiking, kayaking...) if you would like to avoid the touristy Hallstadt. You can go by bike anywhere, even to hallsdtatt.
We drove from Vienna to the localtion of the hotel. however, you can also arrive to hallstadt by train and then rent a bike to the place; or travel to town of Obertraun (Obertraun train station is 20 min walk from the hotel).
The staff will recommend (and make the bookings fro you) at many great and good quality restauratnts.

We stayed in Obertraun as a base to explore Halstatt but...
We stayed in Obertraun as a base to explore Halstatt but found as our trip got closer that there was a lot more to do in Obertraun and Halstatt than originally thought so our one night stay turned out to not be long enough. If I were booking again I would definitely stay two or three nights so we could explore the salt mines, walks and view points.

We stayed in Obertraum so we could take the ferry to go to Hallstatt by ferry. The ferry ride was amazing, heavenly peace and tranquil. However, we did not know enough about the area. Obertraun is probably the best place for easy access to Hallstatt (besides being in Hallstatt itself). Bike rentals are easy and the bike ride to Hallstatt is also easy with very little elevation change. Lots of biking in the area.

Perfect location, fantastic view to Hallstatt and the mountains. Easy to reach Hallstatt even with bicycle, Dachstein and mountains are also very close. Small village, quieter than the nearby Hallstatt. Can walk around everywhere on foot. Good for few days with public transport, longer than that you may want a car since there is only one restaurant ("Pizzeria") and buses come only once per hour.JessicaIsrael

It was raining, but the warm and caring welcome of the hostess Anna exceeded all expectations.We had a room with a wiew to alpine mountains with snow-capped peaks . Free parking of the car under the roof. Rich and tasty breakfast. Vielen Dank Frau Anna. Gediminas and Margarita P.S. The apatment is located only 3 or 4 km away from Hallstatt.

If you miss some kitchen gadgets you can just ask at the reception and they will provide you for free - e.g. there was no knife and chopping board in our kitchen but they gave us this after we have asked for it. For coffee lovers - if you want to make coffee in your appartment, there is a coffee machine for nespresso capsules, so it is good to bring some with you as there are no capsules provided from the accommodation.

Our (seems like most) was a duplex. 2 floors (1st floor has guest VC, spacious hall to leave ones jackets, ski/snowboards, small kitchen, spacious living room with a small wood stove(!), 2nd floor had to bedrooms each with a bathroom). I guess it'd be a nice place to stay for a few days (we were on the move, so only stayed 1 night). Location is convenient to the lift and pier.

Their house has a beautiful location, walking distance to the lake and to the ferry point that connects Obertraun to Hallstatt. If Hallstatt is your main destination and you can’t find something in town, this is a great option in Obertraun. All in all, we had a very enjoyable stay!

Although not luxury, it was a very price worthy stay for one night. It was clean and comfortable. If you are coming from Hallstatt just make sure to check bus times. They don't run too often around 16.00, but they take you all the way to the hotel.
