Located in Oakhurst, just 10 miles from Yosemite National Park, the completely nonsmoking Sierra Sky Ranch was established as a cattle ranch and evolved into a guest ranch in 1946.

The bed made a noise every time we went on it, there were flies, the curtain was old and almost falling, and the worst part they checked out my room when we where still there and my daughter was changing clothes when a man was able to open the door, he just said sorry and closed. That’s something that really disappointed me, not coming back again

The room was great. Nice kitchenette.
Bathroom spacious and well laid out.
Very quiet. Were aware people were next to us but never hear any noise.
The grounds are really lovely. So nice to walk around and see greenery and hear birdsong vs the usual large building surrounded by concrete/car park and a few token shrubs.
Nice to have a balcony to enjoy if you don't want to sit in your room the entire time.
Plenty of outlets/charging ports etc.
The onsite restaurant is great. We returned late from a day exploring Yosemite to find most eateries in the town close earlier than we are used to. The Oakhurst however was open and we enjoyed dinner there and the menu is a good variety.
Also makes a great breakfast space and we were impressed with how efficiently it's run! Nice flexibility of service and self-serve, with options to take stuff to go. The staff were lovely.

Continent location for our day trips to Yosemite. I enjoyed the friendly staff and the spacious rooms. A plus was having a microwave in the room to prepare food for day trips and hikes around the area.

The room was clean. Bathroom had nice toiletries. Breakfast was delicious, many choices. Fitness room was pretty good. Location is very close to Yosemite so it was a little more expensive. I didn't mind paying for a luxury room.

Fell in love with the location and I want to go back. Sad to leave, but all good things with a vacation come to an end. I am glad I stayed central to the town. Loved the local art gallery and artist there.

Beautiful tiny city in a short ride to Yosemite, amazing and friendly locals always ready to help. don't forget to bring the chains if you travel to Yosemite. Stores in the area could be short of tire chains of the price won't make you happy.

Oakhurst is just 16 miles from the southern entrance to Yosemite. That entrance is closest to the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees. The Valley and waterfalls are another 45 minute drive. Oakhurst has a great selection of restaurants, antique stores and friendly people. The selection of rooms is less expensive and easier to book than Yosemite. During the season, there is also YARTS bus system taking visitors to Yosemite (there is a fee). This makes it easier so you don't have to fight traffic, search for parking or have a park reservation.

The place was not quiet.
The place was not quiet. On the second night there were people next door and I could almost hear them breathe. Plus I booked two nights based on the "reduced rate" of $79 but was then billed for extras. I would not have booked this had the cost been up front. Shame on Booking.com for not being transparent. When I complained to Booking.com I was told there was no refund. I wont book either of them again.
My husband and I recently did a two week road trip from Colorado to California. We stayed in at least 8-9 hotel rooms and I think this was our favorite one. The property itself is beautiful and nestled into a secluded little forest right outside of town. The lobby and dining area was stunning and the room itself was cozy and SO clean. We also had a nice little patio outside of our room with a great view of the property. The breakfast was nice and the staff was helpful. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Yosemite!
Lovely old historic property and great location only 20 minutes from entrance to Yosemite National Park and only a minute off the main road. a 10 minute drive from Oakhurst for restaurants. Rooms on the small side but adequate for a short stay. Fabulous veranda for those rooms at the front of the property - definitely worth requesting. The pool was a bonus. The breakfast staff were delightful, so kind and friendly. Breakfast perfectly adequate for us with choice of yoghurts, cereals, bread and fruit.
I like not staying in a hotel. That sometimes means spending more for a little more peace and quiet. The value here was great, imo. My wife and I just needed a place to comfortably lay our heads after driving all day through Yosemite. This fit the bill and more. Restaurant and Wine on site if that's your thing. Other restaurants close by. At night, it was quiet except for the sound of cross and crickets. I quite enjoyed that. I would stay here again in a heartbeat
Very friendly service. Comfortable rooms. There is tea and coffee and fruit in the lobby, which is a welcome sight after a full day at Yosemite.
During our first night, a water pipe in town broke, which led to lack of water in the hotel for a day; the staff gave us plenty of water bottles so we could still wash our hands (and free snacks for the inconvenience), which was much appreciated.
Loved everything. Clean & well maintained hotel! Great lcoation - very close to everything you need throughout the day: stores, Starbucks, food, fast food. Yosemite itself is about 50 min- 1h away, so keep that in mind. It was an absolutely great deal with the location and convenience of being close to the National Park - great price!! Will definately come again.
We were surprised by the size of the accommodation - it was like having your own apartment, with lots of room to hang out. I wish we had had time to finish our jigsaw puzzle! Everything in the unit was well thought-out, and Jennifer was a thoughtful and responsive host. convenient to Yosemite, and Oakhurst has lots of amenities.
This was a lovely home about 30 minutes from the South entrance of Yosemite. It was conveniently located in Oakhurst where there were lots of restaurants, grocery stores, and a nice theater nearby. The home itself was a spacious 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen. It also had a garage and laundry facilities.
lovely inn, very few guest rooms, a quiet place in a quiet town. Perfect spot as “base camp” if you’re visiting Yosemite NP. Well cleaned, well maintained, staff is super friendly. If you don’t care about being served breakfast, it beats every hotel chain in Oakhurst. Super recommended!
The room was spacious and clean. Good location - 25 minutes from Yosemite and near good restaurants, a supermarket, and other services like laundry. It was great using the hotel hot tub after a day of hiking in Yosemite. The staff was helpful and nice.
That was our first stay in a motel and we were really satisfied! Overall Oakhurst turned out to be very pleasant and calm town. During our stay we visited Yosemite NP and the motel was a perfect choice. Strongly recommend!
Large room, great view, cozy atmosphere, privacy. Close to Yosemite south gate. Altogether a great choice if you want to visit Yosemite. Oakhurst is a nice little town with surprisingly many options for eating etc.
The room was comfortable, with a microwave and a fridge. The A/C unit was good.
The breakfast had plenty choices.
The hotel was located close enough to the Yosemite national park.
Hotel located near the south entrance of Yosemite, with a reasonable price for its situation. The rooms are well equipped and have everything you may need. Good to spend one night.
The location of the hotel is quite good and the exteriors are quite beautiful but that's really the only positive thing. The welcome on arrival was pleasant.
