After reading bad reviews, I was sceptical, but the quality of the beach and pool were excellent, and the distance to get there was easily walkable. Staff were polite and helpful(speial mention for Cristell at reception and Omar at concierge), and room was clean. Great value for money.

Much like its fellow emirates, Ras al Khaimah views the future as a world of opportunity, most evident in the capital city of the same name (also called Ra’s al Khaymah or RAK).
Although its skyline is not yet as dramatic as Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, RAK still has plenty of skyscrapers, many housing hotels and apartments on Booking.com. Some overlook its long, sandy beach, alongside luxury resorts. Watersports activities include diving, and to the south-west is Ice Land waterpark.
Desert safaris are a great way to explore the rugged terrain behind the city, site of Al Sawan camel racetrack and Ras al Khaimah Airport. One of the world’s first spaceports is also planned to be out here.
Saqr Park on the capital’s outskirts is the largest UAE park, and the Tower Links Golf Club is another green spot by a lagoon joined to the sea via Ras al Khaimah Creek. The nearby beachfront Corniche is a popular picnic spot, with landscaped gardens and lots of boutiques and cafés.
More shops are in Manar Mall and the ‘Little India’ district of Al Nakheel. The old city has a bustling souk and the National Museum of Ras al Khaimah, housed in Al Hisn Fort. Another important sight is majestic Sheikh Zayed Mosque with its 4 graceful minarets.

My rating of Ras Al Kaimah is based solely on Longbeach Campsite and not any of the surroundings. The fees charged by Longbeach Campsite for the unit I hired is ludicrous and I would strongly recommend that no-one book that unit at that price.

Do not book through Booking.com as they over charge over hotel tariff and also the hotel doesn't refund in case you shorten your trip. For example the hotel staffs here told me the tariff is actually 160-200 AED and booking .com charged me over 250. I finished the job early and checked out one night earlier but they made me pay for entire period as booking .com had already got their commission .

Raw Al khaimah is much less impressive than other emirates. The city is very widespread. There are few tourist sites. The major attractions are extreme high end resorts and some high adrenaline activities. Buses quite infrequent. Lots of malls.

Im frequently booking in same hotel but since 2023 the quality of the rooms came down
Carpet not clean furniture scratches and toilet not well mentained
The overall house keeping and cleaning is bad
Feel sorry about it
We loved the staff; most especially Marco from Reception, Vishnu, Islam from the restaurants and bars. Staff was very nice to us and everyone and always smiling. The weather was great; so we utilized most facilities. My son loved the pools and the beach. The Beach Access room was the best; while a bit set apart from the main hotel building; you had a bit of privacy and a wonderful beach in front of you. Breakfast was okay; good enough options. Staff also made us feel so special since we were celebrating an anniversary.
In my opinion - the best hotel on Marjan island.
Very nice food, nice drinks.
Clean and spacious rooms.
Staff is welcoming and helpful.
There are always enough sunbeds both on the beach and at pool area.
Enjoyed all the evening shows, animation team is very professional together with the sport activities in a separate area during the day (organized by the same team I guess).
All the pools are heated.
The incredible atmosphere. It is one of the best hotels and an unforgettable location: a beautiful desert nature, you can meet a camel or an oryx walking in the hotel territory. Private swimming pool in the villa. Tasty food, Moon bar where you can gaze at stars, enjoy drinks, and smoke shisha. All staff is helpful, friendly, and professional.
A great experience, never thought of having such place in RAK. Many activities for kids with a time table, there are some activities for adults as well.
The camp concept is great, the food is excellent and better than many other 5 starts hotels.
The staff are very kind. We had a great stay.
The staff are all super friendly and accommodating. They made our stay really comfortable. We also like the location — the hotel is just right next to McDonald’s and across the Al Manar Mall and a few minutes drive away to and from other attractions in Ras Al Khaimah.
Room was big enough for a family of 3. It was clean. Although it had a direct garden access (towards the pool) from the balcony, it was silent as well. Staff was helpful in general but they were not able to handle the hotel load properly caused by eid break.
the view and the lighting of the hotel, when you enter its like you are entering elegant, everything is vvip,
specially ms israa,
ms israa is the best who will diffidently bring more customers to the hotel and i give her 10 upto 10 rate .
We like to stay with our family in Rixos BAB Al Bahr! The program for adults and kinds all good organized.
We are happy to return again.
Aditya, Prothamesh and Phanidra thank you for management of hotel. They solve all question for us!
Citymax hotel Ras Al Khaimah is nice decent place to stay in the city center. The staff are very polite and cooperative. The reception manager, Mr. Sameh, is very suuportive and ensures that every client is satisfied.
Our favorite hotel in ras al khaimah. If you have a baby this is the best hotel! pool is kid friendly, they even have activities for kids at evening, staff are nice and friendly. Price is good. Will come again soon.
Great hotel. staff was very good. I always love staying at Ras Al Khaimah Hotel. Greetings to all the hotel staff. I would also like to thank Mr. Sultan for his reception and services to us. Thank you.
Location is good. Breakfast ok.
Very much dissatisfied with checkin delay and room condition. Service is not up to 5 star rating. We felt like, we have been to 4 star hotel
everything except the F&B is too expensive
3 adults and 1 kid with 4 years old almost 900 AED without wine. it’s tremendous expensive even in UAE in a 5 stars hotel
Beautiful modern hotel in the paradise of Ras Al khaima - Hayat Island, Mina Al Arab.
Clear open sea with natural white sand. Very calm and relaxing holidays.
