The Hike to the Fort was amazing , do Bravely wander around the fort and discover you will love it and you will find a clean areas to swim as The Beach side with an easy access was dirty and the city was dirty as well which made us wanna walk fast and take less pictures, it is sad because the beauty of the nature around this place is amazing and the city is not putting the effort to match its surroundings.

I made a reservation for 2 adults approximately two weeks prior. Upon arrival, I was demanded by the management to secure and pay for a 2nd room because co-habitation between foreigners and Tunisian Nationals was not allowed, and that this intent would be reported to the police. I stated to the management that those terms were not specified, and I would not be paying for a 2nd room. The manager canceled the reservation and we left. Not before charging the full rate of the reservation to my credit card. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to foreign travelers.

    1) Too bright lights of room service and don’t disturb bottoms - in the night it’s very annoying along with blinking wifi - better to place them all in a hallway. 2) Too soft bed - I was just like drowning. Better to have a harder mattress. 3) Breakfast is good, but poor in choices of vegetables, fruités (only seasonal) and meat (no other than dinde charcuterie etc, very dried merguez). Very poor choice of juices (just 2 types), no tea selection, and poor choice of vegetables - only one type of salad leaf (!), just tomato and cucumbers. Nothing else, for kids and vegans very poor (no fresh carrots, cauliflowers, broccoli, green beans, pumpkin - and it’s a season for them now! , even no fried green beers, tomatoes and potatoes . Continental breakfast should be in a more European style.

Tabarka is a cozy location, mainly inhabited by locals.

Tabarka is a cozy location, mainly inhabited by locals. Lack of attention to the customer at times. Beach is not good, and not well kept (plenty of plastic around). The short walk to the castle is worth, especially at sunset. It's really worth to pass by the nautic center and rent a boat for a tour to Arusa, snorkeling off the tunisian coasts ang having grilled fish for lunch.

    Tabarka is a lovely city.

Tabarka is a lovely city. It has great potential and seems unknown to many international travelers or under promoted. It is really lovely. Great nature. I will be back to explore more the surroundings. I heard about a natural reserve island, where we can do camping. In my to do list for next time.
