The quality of the room was exceptional, everything was perfect. Huge comfortable bed was greatly appreciated. The hotel side of the premises was very up-market and spotlessly clean. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. Despite having closed the kitchen the young chef prepared us a pleasant evening meal.

The setting and grounds are beautiful and the house is stunning.
All staff we encountered were friendly and professional. We stayed with a dog so had to eat breakfast in the bar area, which actually we preferred.
The breakfast was the usual fayre, sausages, bacon, ect and although not exceptional it was good and we enjoyed it.
We stayed in The Grange (which is separate to the main house), because we had a dog with us, we liked the fact we had a room with doors opening out onto the grounds so we could let our dog out, would have liked a window also though, as not always practical to open a door for fresh air when you have a dog you need to keep contained.

Beautiful place to relax, very quiet and comfortable, and the host was very welcoming.
Hook strikes us a very pleasant, walkable place. Everything is within a very short walk. Plenty of grocery stores, shops, and restaurants within easy reach. The folks here have a high quality of life.

There are no supermarkets or main store chains i.e. Next M&S, Boots, Superdrug. Parking in main carpark free for first 1.30mins - great. Not a lot of choice re cafés. Need more clothes shops and didn't come across any charity shops?!!!

We choose Hook as I was bought up in the area, it was very handy for surrounding villages. Walking in nearby village of Greywell . The nearby small town of Odiham is well worth a visit. Great dog walking country.

The room I booked was a Single Mansion room.
The room I booked was a Single Mansion room. That in itself suggested it would be large. There was a small photo on booking.com which when you look at it it was not what was expected .in Australia regardless of whether 1 person or 2?is staying there is always a minimum of a double bed. This was a single bed as g TV he room would not accomodate anything larger. Yes a wardrobe was there but it was not useable as you could open the door properly. I would however commend the Hungarian lady at Breakfast on Saturday morning she made me a proper cappuccino. The coffee in the urn was undrinkable overall a very costly 3 days and only worth what a backpackers rate would be

We have already given you our in depth review of the Hook...
We have already given you our in depth review of the Hook hotel. Please take our review as completely honest and straightforward. We have no reason to say otherwise.
The hotel certainly needs very much some TLC and quickly. Its such a shame as the location was great for us.
We didn't explore Hook as the hotel was just a couple of nights stay and to be with my relatives at this very sad time.
Rooms are very clean and spacious, the food in the restaurant is excellent. The staff were very polite and friendly and the service in the bar and restaurant was first class. I stayed here as I wanted to be close to Farnborough which was only 20 mins away by car. I would definitely recommend this hotel, it’s was rated as 2 star which doesn’t do this place justice. I found my visit relaxing and stress less after a long day at work. I enjoyed it so much I’ve already booked the hotel for my next two trips to farnborough.
A lovely pub in a small village 5 miles from Alton town centre in Hampshire. We wanted a place to stay while we visited my son and his girlfriend. We had my parents with us too, and the six of us had dinner and breakfast at the pub. The rooms were cosy and clean, the food was excellent and the service very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay here again. We chatted with the chef, who clearly takes great pride in what he does and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend.
The owners were exceptionally caring, helpful and friendly and bent over backwards to provide all we needed.
It is exceptional value for money, albeit a 3-star hotel.
It had a special shabby- chic ambience and the house was historic and characterful and close by car to many of the delights of rural Hampshire, as well as good gastro- pubs for evening meals.
Borough Court is a beautiful family home set in the country in Hampshire. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with an ensuite. Our breakfast was delicious and was prepared by our host and served in the stately dining room. The house is set in extensive grounds beautifully maintained.
Friendly welcome and upgrade to a double room for more space at same price set the tone of an enjoyable stay. The associated pub was a friendly environment to spend the evening and did excellent evening meals and breakfasts. Will definately look out for Green King hotels again.
I dont like anyhting about the hotel...Rain was coming out of the ceiling which i complained about and they said i was going to get a 20 pounds refund with a diner and a drink . I got both but never got my refund i have called for days now and no positive response
This was good find. I was working locally in Hook and this was conveniently located. I was staying in the Grange, an outbuilding. Plenty of parking, room was clean, spacious and well equipped. Breakfast was excellent, location was stunning.
I had been given a good rooom but they were washing the carpet there and it was soaking so they changed it and it was small.no room no.13 and the hotel was empty but the food they had wS great but booki g needed gor main jeans and tea.
The hotel made every effort to accommodate my additional needs, all the staff were polite and friendly. I would like to extend further thanks to Trudie for helping me book taxi’s and find local Amenities, much appreciated.
Good location for our needs. Really large and comfortable bed. Check in nice and easy. Friendly staff in the hotel and in the bar/restaurant. Decent breakfast to set ourselves up for the day.
Location was remote, needed a car to travel to the hotel. Very good breakfast and warm hospitality. I would book again at the outer suite, because of wedding event. Excellent surroundings
Amazing beautiful grounds and Manor House we have been lucky enough to stay in the main house and also the extended part of the hotel and both are lovely and very peaceful 💎
