The personalised service from the moment we arrived, staff going above and beyond what would normally be expected. The room was large and beautiful, the food delicious and the setting idyllic. We felt like it was almost our own private resort.

Nestled on a ridge overlooking the picturesque Brokenback Ranges, H Boutique Hotel is located adjacent to Bimbadgen Wine Estate.

As like for other wine regions we tried to find a hotel with a winery in walking distance. This one is about 500m from Bimbadgen Estate, which features a high quality restaurant, a cellar door and a pizzeria, and we made use of all of that.
We had a friendly welcome at H Boutique Hotel (also by some roos, which enjoyed the rain), and got a big room, in fact it's an apartment with bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living room and a terrace. There's of course ample parking.
Next to the reception there's an interesting shop / bar / cellar door... don't know what to call it, but we enjoyed a nice cheese and wine tasting there, and the next day a breakfast too (it's not open every day though, but we were lucky). It was perfect for the rainy day we had on arrival. Apart from the winery you can walk to, you're very close by car to every other Hunter Valley attraction and winery.

Beautiful area with gorgeous scenery and incredibly welcoming people at every place we went. So many little wineries to visit, chocolate and cheese. A great place to relax and wind down.
We weren’t that overwhelmed by the brunches we had at Liesure Inn and Eden at the Garden Centre, but the surroundings and lovely people helped overcome that. I think some places rely on the tourist one time visit rather than getting everything right.

It turned out to be an AirBNB. Promised breakfast and had to cook myself. Not a good choice. Told by owner I could go out somewhere else to have breakfast!!!! Why when I have paid for it?
Shower over spa tub in bathroom so not easy getting in and out. Tear in one of pillow slips. Furniture not very nice.

It's great for couples, not alot to do for children but we found a few options. Perfect for a weekend getaway and of course a wedding which is why we were there. Super impressed with Brokenwood and the changes they have made.

Pokolbin has quite a few things to do and a number of accommodation options at your disposal. It's just a matter of how much you can afford to spend and how much time you have to see everything. We drove around as this was easiest for a family, although you had the expensive horse and carriage or cheap electric bike hire as other options. The wineries are always a winner, but the Chocolate & Fudge Factory and Cheese Factory are good to visit as well. Take a look at Pepper Tree Vineyard. They offer free use of their gardens/vines for a picnic opportunity, but you do need to book this.

Hunter Valley Gardens was the best.
Hunter Valley Gardens was the best. Oaks Cypress Lakes Resort was horrific. Only those visitors who booked with Oaks could use facilities others could not even though we paid the same amount. We were deprived of the use of major facilities at the resort as we booked through booking .com. It was a humiliating experience, awful for my daughter. Heartbreaking. The woman at Oaks reception was vile when explaining the disaster to me.
Evelyn and Stuart made us feel very welcome at their beautiful property, exceptional service. For our party of 4, we had a beautiful 2 bedroom cottage, furnished elegantly, surrounded by stunning scenery and gardens. We felt like we have arrived at a country home. The property is located in a beautiful part of Hunter Valley, surrounded by wineries. We had the most wonderful stay, too short as we only stayed for 1 night. Highly recommend this hotel, will definitely go back for sure.
Voco Kirkton Park Hunter Valley is truly an amazing accommodation. The accommodation grounds is huge. There is this long driveway to enter the hotel. My husband and I even joked “welcome to our home” when we entered. They have good facilities: pool, jacuzzi, gym, restaurant, bar. They even have a barn inside with some hogs, chickens and turkeys. The entire stay was good. The room was spacious and clean. The cleaning staff was nice and cleans the whole room and toilet well.
The location of the apartment is excellent close to the main Hunter Valley tourist spots. The room was quite large and clean. The wardrobe space was very good with plenty of hanging space. The beds were comfortable. The facilities in the room were very useful. We used the toaster, kettle and microwave during our overnight stay. The parking was free. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly.
Very charming farm house with 2.5 modern bathrooms and kitchen. Such an idyllic location overlooking the vineyards and a stones throw from central Pokolbin. On site winery and cellar door with friendly staff and great wines. Spacious inside; outside lots of room and green space for the kids. Cosy fireplace and reverse cycle air con.
We stayed years ago when it was a Peppers Hotel. Spicers took over in 2016 and have renovated superbly. In winter conditions the place is warm and friendly particularly the lounge area with log fires and the fire pits outside.
The eRemo restaurant is superb too. Overall a 5 star experience on a short stay and we will be back.
Pokolbin Village was a good place to stay. Too cold to use the pool but it looked clean and well laid out. Efficient heating. Although the room is only serviced every second day extra clean towels were left and plenty of toiletries were left. The grounds were well kept and guests are able to do short ‘bush walks’
This place was really lovely. The unit was clean and the views were great.
It had everything we needed to cook and relax in the night.
It is close to alot of wineries on that side of the Hunter Valley which we hadn't been to before.
There is also a pool and spa which we didnt use.
The hosts were lovely.
The location is beautiful, clean, and comfortable, with breakfast included for a delightful start to the day. It's nestled right in Polkobin, next to Hunter Valley gardens and close to all the vineyards. Beautiful views and got to see Kangaroos right outside our window.
Absolutely wonderful hotel with amazing property & lovely views! The atmosphere is super chilled and relaxed - perfect escape from city life. Super friendly and supportive staff. Very good breakfast with great variety of options!
Sam and Matt were so friendly and accommodating. We loved the wine tasting facilities at the hotel and really enjoyed both the Jac & Jones wine tasting experience and the in-house bar. We'll definitely be back. Thanks guys.
The location was excellent.
Reception staff was exceptional...we even got free upgrades on our booking...will definitely be booking the same.place in future.
5 mins drive to Hunter valley gardens and many good wineries.
A convenient location with Harrigans pub on site for food and drink. At times you could hear the music but it wasn’t loud enough to disturb sleep. A nice place to stay while visiting the Hunter Valley.
We went to Hunter valley for one night and stayed at Chateau Elan. The accommodation was perfect for our needs. Lovely view across the golf course. Breakfast was very good as well.
Leisure Inn is set in lovely grounds and is very central to wineries, Hunter Valley Gardens, Harrigans pub and Pokolbin village. The units are spacious and very well appointed.
We have used this hotel multiple times to visit the Hunter Valley Lights and would recommend it. Easy, with pleasant dining on site. Grandkids love the pool.
Location was central to all activities and events planned for our time in the hunter valley.
Cheese plate on arrival plus other complimentary snack treats.
