We spent as much time exploring off-strip as we did on the strip. Each held unique experiences and I wish we had more time to see more shows and to visit more places.
On strip:
Blue Man Group & Mystiere we the shows we saw, both were excellent and wish we could have seen more Cirque de Solei shows.
Visited the Belagio to see the fountains, the conservatory and the chocolate fountain.
Visited Ceasars to see the Forum.
Off Strip:
Parked and enjoyed the Sphere. (Outside only as there was a concert event while we were there.)
Walked the Historic Railroad Hicking Trail (Starts by the Lake Meade Visitors Center. Goes 2.2 miles to the old millworks. Should have stopped there and walked back as path was nice and flat, easy hike for beginners. We continued from the millworks down to the Hoover Dam, another 2 miles. It started at an easy level and moved to a moderate level except when you reached the last part, just past the powerlines when you reach thebpaved walkway down to the new garage...steep is an understatement!! It may be paved, but it has to be close to be a 45° grade!! I highly recommend walking the 2.2 miles and headding back to the visitors center, then driving down to Hoover Dam.
Walked accross Hoover Dam, can't wait to see the new visitors center when it is complete.
Drove the scenic route at Red Rock. Each time I visit I fall more and more in love. The scenery is georgeous and just a short drive outside the city. Each time I visit I find new improvements: more/better parking areas off the scenic drive, new/more educational signage, path markers and detailed trailhead signs just to name a few.
Visited the Spring Preserve, a nice little gem tucked away in north Las Vegas. Beautiful gardens, a pretty little butterfly house, well otganized exhibits abiut the plants, history, geology and conservation efforts for the area.
We only stayed for five days and could have easily filled another five with more activities!!

The bathroom had mold in the tile and the wallpaper was torn with mold on and underneath. With the hand held shower head it was not helpful trying to hold the onto the grab bar and move the shower head to rinse. Not very clean bathroom, with the shower curtain getting all wet at the bottom the bath rug got all wet and didn't dry fast enough to use again.

Trip to Las Vegas totally recommended if you know what you are going to do, now if you want to have fun and have a good time it takes a lot of money. It is very important to look for a good hotel, no matter how expensive it is, especially try to stay in one of the newest hotels manufactured in the city since these are cleaner and provide better service and they also don't smell bad like the old ones,

Amazing destination for your vacation unlike anywhere else in the World. We hadn't been there in a decade and were amazed by how expensive everything was!
If you get a chance, get out of town and drive a couple of hours out to Mt.Zion National Park, it's a perfect break and astonishing!

Years ago we felt safe coming to Las Vegas with our family (small children), used to stay at a resort and enjoyed the place during the day and part of the night. Now Las Vegas has gone wild, too many weed consumers all around, everything smells like smoked weed, and intoxicated people walking around on the streets. We did not feel safe during our last stay and will probably not come back ever again for family vacations.

Death Valley, the Mob museum and The Sphere were the three best tours that I did in Las Vegas. I did not appreciate the very high prices on the Strip.
I think that the Resort Fees is a big rip off. However, I would still highly recommend visiting Las Vegas to my friends and I think that (Baily's) now called the Horseshoe is an excellent well located hotel.
The apartment was very nice, with a fully equiped kitchen and a very big bathroom with bathtub . The views to the mountain are nice and the sunsets are wonderfull form there. I personally prefer to stay in this quiet area more than in the center, to rest a little be from the noise and the lights of Las Vegas. The pool area is very nice, full of space and chairs and there is also a jacuzzi. The casino is in front of the hotel building and there is several restaurant, atraction for kids and a nice sport shop
I would say this is one of the best and most affordable hotels in Las Vegas. Especially as a family and non smoker this was the right hotel to choose. In my perspective its a huge plus that the hotel doesn’t have a Casino, its more quiet and doesn’t smell as bad. The Waldorf Astoria is one of the newer hotel in the area and worth its money when you compare it with the old hug hotels around.(MGM/ Caesar Palace). The view and room of the hotel were amazing. The bathtub was stunning!
I stayed here before and based on my previous experience I knew I’d be getting a quality place to stay. It may not be on the strip but the hotel is excellent, and certainly better than two other places I’ve stayed in Vegas. I went to see Sting live at the Colosseum, a 20 minute walk away. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped. The pool area is also lovely, with comfortable padded sun loungers. Ample parking. An overall excellent choice for a stay in Las Vegas!
Hotel is in a prime location on the Las Vegas Strip and is easily walkable to many of the main attractions, such as The Venetian. There is also a monorail station located at the rear of the property, which allows you to cover more ground on the Strip. Room was in quite a nice condition and there were multiple food options available in the laneway next to the property. Room was kept tidy and the elevators were in good condition.
I felt cheated by booking.com. am aware of the motel status cannot be matched with big hotels but for the cost what am being charged this is just a worst motel/lodge. while the direct travelers were able to get a best and cheaper rate am the only one who has paid high for this hotel just because I went through Booking.com. big lesson learnt
We we're looking for a place to conveniently stay the night while passing through Las Vegas, not for the entertainment of "The Strip". Getting from car to room was quick--not a major hike like the mega-hotels on The Strip. Also very quick to get to from I15. This was ideal for us. That said, the location is pretty close to The Strip.
Location was okay, cheap for an uber to and from the strip. Staff was terrible the rooms were dirty, the hallway floors are absolutely atrocious and the evaluators were super sketchy.. I could go on and on. Do not stay here just spend the extra money and stay on the strip at a well known hotel.
Location! Downtown is less fancy and cheaper, but restaurants and coffee joints are way more interesting in this area than on the Strip. Wifi is not extremely fast but stable (there's a paid speed upgrade available). The continental breakfast is fairly priced. The staff at the bar is friendly.
The location is at the northern part of the strip and easy access to the monorail and downtown Las Vegas. The rooms were very nice and unique. The hotel staff is pleasant and friendly and the grounds are very clean. It is an overall great value.
The location is great but the actual hotel is in need of a major facelift. With how quickly things change on the strip, the Mirage is definitely falling behind, but it is super cheap, so that’s nice.
My stay at the Mardi gras hotel was very pleasant from start to finish. Located a mile from the strip. And half a mile from the Las Vegas convention center. Was definitely best bang for your buck.
Very cheap stay - probably the cheapest hotel on the strip. Room was clean. It was a cheap stay on the strip and good enough just to sleep at night - we weren't in the hotel that much anyways.
I like the fact that the Hotel was off the main Las Vegas strip but it had easy access to the Flamingo. It was easy to come and go. Within minutes we were on the strip. Bonus
Great deal for one of the most luxurious hotels in Las Vegas. We stayed in the cheapest room, but it was so sophisticated and clean. Easy check-in/out.
