Peachy City of Historic Importance
Home to the world’s busiest airport and a vibrant arts scene, Atlanta has an important role in US history. The gateway to the American South, it is the home of the barbecue and hundreds of peach trees that make it a surprisingly green city.
Hartsfield-Jackson Airport is the main arrival point, and Booking.com has an excellent range of Atlanta hotels near the airport. However, the main sights are clustered around Downtown. Near the gold-domed Georgia State Capitol is Underground Atlanta, a shopping centre in the old underground railway.
Just north are a few hotels near Georgia Dome, a huge sports venue, and to its north-east is Centennial Olympic Park, commemorating the 1996 Olympic Games. On one edge of this park are the CNN headquarters which offer behind-the-scenes tours. Opposite is the New World of Coca-Cola where you can sample all their worldwide products. Next door is the massive Georgia Aquarium, the world’s largest indoor aquarium.
In the Auburn district is Martin Luther King’s former home and church, and a museum dedicated to him and the Civil Rights movement. A few blocks south in Grant Park is the city zoo, and the Atlanta Cyclorama and museum, detailing the city’s Civil War battles.
More national history is in the Carter Center, and the former home of Margaret Mitchell, author of ‘Gone with the Wind’.

Atlanta offers a little something for everyone, making it the perfect destination for all ages. Additionally, the southern hospitality is top-tier, and the food is incomparable. I could definitely see myself moving there and enjoying life to the fullest. If you love grits and shrimp, please check out "Poach Social," a brunch restaurant. This place has the best grits I have ever tasted!

I was blessed to fine this hotel. I originally had a reservation at Holiday Inn Express and my reservation was canceled which left my daughter and and myself with a hotel. I looked and found Sonesta and booked the hotel. I was placed in a beautiful double bed room and this was after midnight. My daughter and I flew in for her powerlifting competition. The next morning I was happy to meet the Mangement who assured me my daughter and myself was welcome in his hotel and would properly be taking care of. So nests will always be my choice of hotels when I come to Atlanta!

To arrive to the hotel from the airport is a real odisea...no one tells you how to do it. You have to catch a bus that takes you to another buse stop, where you can take the one for your hotel. It is complicate to undestand, mostly when you do not dominate the language.HaydeéMexico - 10Scored 10

Atlanta has such a variety of crowds and entertainment.
Atlanta has such a variety of crowds and entertainment. Just when you think you've found your vieb for the night, something else calls your attention and you have a whole new experience to live. 3 days and 2 nights were not enough, my next trip will be a full week. Oh and the food? Argue with your momma, not me, some of the best food I've had here in America.

When we returned breakfast was still being served, and it was delicious!! The room was very neat and clean. Everything that was advertised was provided. Parking was right at the hotel!! The car was ready whenever we needed it. Staying at the Hampton Inn Atlanta-Georgia Tech-Downtown will become our family tradition for the PeachTree Road Race. Thank you!!

The free internet is of sufficiently high quality (GT net + eduroam) for online meetings. Breakfast is well organised and of good quality; room service diner was also great.
