Came for the Wine Country Half Marathon. The location was great - we could walk to the race. I was a little surprised when there was no microwave in the room as indicated on the website, but the staff delivered one quickly upon request.

Location was good, breakfast included, easy parking
Solvang is pretty and green in the spring. The summer will be hot and dry! Even in March, many tourists were in town. The unfortunate side effect is that some local restaurant staff could be a LOT nicer.
Vin & Mad has an incredible dinner for us! I recommend this restaurant but be prepared for stairs and an uphill if you are traveling with someone that may have limited mobility.
Breakfast can be challenging, long waits even in the off season.
Parking can be a challenge for those with mobility issues as well.

So much fun! Plenty to do.
So much fun! Plenty to do. Staying on Mission had me in walking distance of all the shops, restaurants, tasting rooms, and fun. Loved the architecture and everyone was so friendly. I highly recommend a trip to Solvang.

Cute little Central Cal town where studio writers for LA go...
Cute little Central Cal town where studio writers for LA go on retreats, and throngs of tourists visit the O.G. Danish-looking town. The architecture is different than anything in CA, and there is a labyrinth of shops and restaurants to explore. So many great options peppered with wine tasting and beautiful vistas nearby. Dolce Café has amazing coffee and a unique menu of baklava, breakfasts, sandwiches and ice cream. Peasant's Feast came recommended by Michelin and went above and beyond. The Coyote Creek Inn serves as a wonderful wedding venue. But mostly, getting lost in the alleyways around town is always so much fun!
Solvang is a great stop between LA and San Luis Obispo. Two nights in perfect, three if you wanna move more slowly.

Fantastic, quaint little town in beautiful countryside.
Fantastic, quaint little town in beautiful countryside. Every single person we met in town was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The town itself is extremely pet friendly and tourists everywhere has their dogs with them.
Absolutely everything. From the friendly staff to undercover parking with lift up to the rooms, huge room, comfortable bed, happy hour and a sensational restaurant! Perfect location in easy walking distance to everything in town.
Happy hour was fab - cocktails and starter all discounted. Helpful and friendly staff at every station in this hotel.
everything especially the style and sophistication of the whole hotel! more than value for money here one of the best hotels we stayed in out of the 8 we did along the pacific coast trip through the states. would go back for a holiday in this destination again loved it! just wish our stay was longer.
The M is a charming hotel away, but close enough, from the busy downtown Solvang. You can easily walk to see the shops, but you don't have the traffic and the noise. The garden courtyard just outside the room was very relaxing after a long day of driving!
The room was comfortable and clean. We liked that the blanket was wrapped by the sheets. Very comfortable bed.
The location was perfect. Right in the middle of downtown Solvang close to restaurants and shops. We parked our car and walked everywhere.
I have honestly never seen two rooms like these! They were absolutely huge!! We were given suites and although a bit dated, we’re spotlessly clean and had every possible amenity. Free parking. Very close to the centre of Solvang.
We have stayed at the Atterdag twice now and will continue to stay there when we visit Solvang. The rooms are really nice sized and clean. We love the location as it is right downtown with an easy walk to shops and restaurants.
Room was good size and bathrooms were luxurious. Air conditioner is very quiet and very efficient. Beds were very comfortable. Hotel was easy walk from downtown Solvang. Front desk was friendly, efficieint and helpful.
Room was huge, worked out great for our family. Location was super close to the downtown area. Beds weren't the most comfortable and water pressure was a little low, but overall a great stay.
Large room, table and 2 chairs. 2 luggage holders and coffee in room. Parked right outside the door, very convenient. Morel was quiet and close to all the downtown attractions.
Exceptionally comfortable room. The bed was extremely comfortable - like, beyond any hotel I've ever stayed at before. The hotel renovations were really top notch.
