Staying in this apartment felt like visiting some aunts and uncles in my childhood, a real throwback in time (although, I have to say that not everything in this apartment was Soviet/from the 90s, but I guess, there is always a place for improvement). Even the neighborhood felt like a time-travel. The apartment is located in a really great place if you are interested in exploring Karosta's military heritage - coastal fortification, Northern breakwater, prison and other sites are nearby. The apartment was quite spacious for two of us, we could easily relax after long ours of hiking as well as find a place for doing some remote work on our computers. The place was well equipped and had almost everything we needed - we only missed a broom to get rid of the sand brought in from the seaside. If you are looking for a cheap, but good place in Liepāja, and living close to the city center is not important for you - this apartment might be a great option.
