The hostel was simply gorgeous, really tropical and in the middle of the jungle, but not far from the main hustle and bustle in GL.
Loved working and chilling there, they also served great coffee fruit bowls. The animals were fun to have around and the pool fantastic for a nice dip in the evening.
The beds at the dorm were comfy and great private space with lots of room, plus a locker.
WiFi was good.

We loved our stay at Bamboo Surf Beach. The location was perfect, right on the beach with great surfing for all levels right on the doorstep. The hotel has a great restaurant and bar on site, with plenty of other options a short walk along the road if you fancied a change. We stayed in a Garden Bungalow which had both air con and a fan, and was immaculately clean. The bed was comfortable, we always had hot water. The room was a great size, and had a very pretty terrace/ porch area overlooking the well cared for garden.
The best thing about Bamboo Surf Beach is the staff. They are so lovely and helpful and will go above and beyond to help you, they will organise transfers, moped hire, surf board hire and give great first hand recommendations, nothing is too much trouble. All the staff are amazing but a special mention to Lyn and Marcel. We would 100% stay here again!!

The property is in an amazing location , in one of the main roads of the island and with several tuk tuk and transportation options. The service is amazing and the hotel manager James made sure our stay was great, helping us with booking tours and other logistics. The breakfast is very good as well. I would recommend this hotel to everyone !

Sunlit hostel staff went well and beyond to make my first solo trip experience feel like home. I was only meant to stay here for 5 days and ended up staying for nearly a month!! From cooking dinners together, playing pool, trivia nights and giving us the best recommendations around town, Sunlit made it hard to leave Siargao. In particular, Via was extremely kind and would drop everything to make life easier for me around the hostel- she remembered my name from day one !! Also, Beth would make you feel so welcomed and comfortable by inviting you to all the social events. Beth also took me to local markets and made my experience phenomenal. This place will be missed 🤍
