Friendly staff. Early check in because the room happened to be ready. Room was spacious, clean and quite. Comfy beds. Nice restaurant on property. Walking distance to Trim Castle. Breakfast was good, especially considering that it was off a menu and there were tour groups booked. Free parking under the hotel. Very short walking distance into the town where there are cafes, etc

Rob was a very friendly and helpful Host, and everyone at Caravogue House helped to make our stay in the wonderful town of Trim something special. First impressions say a lot, and I didn't even have to ring the doorbell because Rob opened the door for us with a smile and a handshake. You often leave a place and say that you'll be back, knowing that you probably won't - but there's so much more to see in the area, and it's not too far from Dublin Ferry Port, so we will DEFINITELY be back to visit Trim again and will DEFINITELY be staying at Caravogue House every time. Thanks, Rob and staff, for a superb stay.

We liked everything. Mary, our host was very accommodating and exceeded any expectations we had. She made us a cuppa on arrival and on return from dinner. Her breakfast was excellent and as good as you can get. The bed was the best we have had in 3 weeks in Ireland. Her place was spotless. She does the industry proud and it should be a standard that all hosts should aspire to. If we could give more stars we would. Anyone who gives any less than five stars must be very hard to please.

This was without doubt, the most beautiful B&B I have ever stayed in. If you love Jane Austin books, this is the place for you.
HIGHFIELD HOUSE is a Heritage Period house, dating back to the 1700s. Everything inside was authentic, beautifully decorated, with superb & comfortable bedrooms.
It was spotlessly clean, with all the modern facilities of 2024, but still decorated in keeping with the style of the period house.
The bathroom was state of the art, with a superior shower etc.
The hostess, Geraldine, is an absolute LADY, again in keeping with her stunning house/home.
There are tea making facilities in the bedrooms. But please note, breakfast is no longer served in the morning.
However, being right beside Trim Castle, there are numerous excellent restaurants nearby.
I would HIGHLY rate this magnificent B&B, 10 out of 10! ❤️🇮🇪☘️🇮🇪💚
Trim has a great castle, used in the filming of Braveheart.
Trim has a great castle, used in the filming of Braveheart. The guided tour of the keep is quite good. There is a friendly family of donkeys in a pasture just down the road from the castle and you are allowed to feed them (a sign with foods that are allowed is in the pasture). Trim is a great base for exploring Bru na Boinne, Mellifont Abbey, the Hill of Tara and other areas of interest. I actually;lly would have stayed 3-4 nights instead of 2, but we had reservations in a different area.

Trim castle is awesome!
Trim castle is awesome! The tour provides historical, anecdotal and architectural context for the structure, and the grounds have detailed markers and schematics to help you understand what you're seeing. We needed more time to explore the grounds, the ruined Abbey, and surrounding areas. Dinner at the Stock House restaurant provided a good steak and interesting decor to explore. Definitely a stop for a day or two on our next trip to Ireland.

We only stayed in Trim one night.
We only stayed in Trim one night. We went to the castle which is in pretty good shape. Entry is free but you can pay for a guided tour of the Keep which you should do.
We ate dinner at the Trim Castle Hotel in the Bailey Brasserie. It is a little expensive but we thought the meal was very good. The host was friendly and helpful. The only issue we had was that our waiter was very busy and not very attentive but this would not keep me from returning.

Came to the hotel for a wedding.
Came to the hotel for a wedding. Lovely scenery of the castle from the rooftop and some rooms. The food was delicious and the portions were very generous. My room was nice and had everything I needed and the breakfast was very nice. I paid €190 for 1 night stay in a double room which I thought was too expensive for a Monday night but overall I enjoyed my stay.

Trim is a beautiful town, with plenty to interest both adults and children. There are plenty of independent cafes and restaurants, making a lovely change from high streets with global chains.
Lovely walks along the river and around the Norman castle, the focal point of the town.
The room was large and bright, and had the BEST shower in Ireland! Breakfast was simple but cooked to order and delicious. The host was friendly and helpful with our questions about activities and restaurants. We were able to park in the enclosed front drive under security cameras. The area seemed safe and it was walking distance to town . Unfortunately, we were there on a rainy night so opted to drive to dinner.
Friendly and very helpful staff. Upon arrival, very warm welcome and Jack who was managing the bar was a pleasure to deal with checking in. The accommodation is situated in the heart of Trim. The rooms are spotless and spacious. Probably one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. The atmosphere is relaxed and the locals that stopped by for a pint are as friendly as the staff. Highly recommended
Hosts and staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. They were fantastic, so kind and helpful. The room was large and bed comfy. The bathroom was small but had the best shower of our trip so far in Ireland. Breakfast was great and plenty of it. Location is very walkable to town center and an easy drive to various sites in the Boyle Valley.
The hotel was by far one of the best I have stayed in, in Ireland and I have stayed in quite a few,
The room was huge, extremely comfortable bed, the view of the golf course was sensational, food and drinks were great and it was easy to get to from Dublin via the 111 bus..
This was the nicest hotel we stayed in during our 3 weeks in Ireland. It was only surpassed by the Kilronan Castle Hotel and Clontarf Castle Hotel. It was modern, spacious, and very upscale! My wife was able to schedule and enjoy a great spa experience on short notice.
Rob was very welcoming and helpful. We left our bags early and they were in our room when we returned. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent choice at breakfast including a lovely fresh fruit selection. It was conveniently located for all our visits around Trim.
Brogans is a very friendly , homely little hotel with lots of character, very central to Trim town. Great evening entertainment Would recommend staying here- their evening meals are excellent. Shout out to the staff behind the bar - very friendly and helpful,
We loved this spot. After a long flight from Australia we wanted to get out of Dublin but not drive to far. The little village of Trim (5min away) was a perfect welcome to Ireland. This property was quiet, very comfortable and welcoming.
Pam and her family are excellent hosts. Very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very comfortable with a view of rolling farmland. The breakfast is top quality. Trim is a wonderful location to visit on any stay in Ireland.
The place was spotless and well-maintained. Nice large shower and sink. Overall very nice and comfortable. the bed was very comfortable. our host was exceptional and made the best breakfast in Ireland (ask for the black pudding.
Location was excellent, across the street from the Trim Castle and access to the river path. Town centre is a 5 minute walk away. The hostess was friendly and helpful. The hotel is a beautiful older building.
Wonderful hotel directly across from Trim Castle with wonderful views. Our room was very well appointed and large. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The entire staff was welcoming and helpful.
It was a beautiful old farm setting and convenient to the convention we were attending in Trim. Clean and modern facilities. The area is is full of history and a great getaway from the rat race.
The Castle Arch Hotel is well situated for easy walking to both the Castle and the riverside walk. The town of Trim is a delightful place with many good pubs and stores.
The 3 town houses were perfect for what we wanted, family of 22. We all had our own room with en-suite. Walking distance to hotel were your free to use facilities.
