Traveling on the Metro was fun and easy, and it travels to all of the most significant Tourist Sites. The Hop on- Hop off Busses and Boats are an excellent way to get an overall view of the city. Check out speciality tours, ie. Black Paris for an in depth history of African Americans in Paris and/or Walking Tours of different areas.

This was my 3rd trip to Paris and I still love it, but it was expensive, and there were so many tourists, even though I deliberately came in the off season (it was spring, but early April, not yet the summer season). I always find it amazing to see so many iconic and historical sites. I was able to see the beautiful Notre Dame Cathedral exactly 3 years after the devastating fire, and it was humbling and hope-inspiring to see how much work had already taken place to restore this landmark. The photo exhibition was well done, and gave people a way of connecting with the story. It is always thrilling to see the Eiffel Tower, and as I was with a friend who'd never been to Paris, (and we were both coping with some health issues) we decided to do an open top bus tour, and this was a great way of seeing all the important, iconic sites without walking for miles, or trying to get on and off Metro trains and buses, but it is not for everyone, and you really need to get into the narrow lanes and walk away from the tourist attractions to find some great cafes, bars and places to enjoy a reasonably priced meal. Do hydrate!! Always hydrate! Paris water is very safe!
If you plan to visit any of the galleries and museums do book tickets in advance, and don't try to do 6 hour days, basically 2 1/2 to 3 hours will be enough at one time, then you need to get outside and get some fresh air! Restaurants and cafes in museums tend to be very expensive and there are often queues for them.

Paris is the type of city where you need to stay in the center and walk to experience it. Traffic is really bad in the city and I mean really bad !
The architecture is incredible as are the museums. I've been all over the world and nothing compares.
People on the street are always in a hurry, no time for talking. But the hotel staff and food places were more friendly than where I live in the United States.

The city is amazing with all the monuments, but they can get easily crowded. Beware of the pickpocketers, they are everywhere, and never let your guard down. It was a bad time to visit as the whole city was full of scaffolding due to the Olympics.

I was surprised at how clean the streets are in Paris.
I was surprised at how clean the streets are in Paris. Free of garbage and debris. People were friendly and always willing to help. The Metro (public transportation) was easy to use to get to the tourist sites verses a more expensive option of using Uber or Taxi. Note, there was a bit of a walk to get to the Metro station. An upside to walking is you get to see the city neighborhood.
It was a great place for the start of our trip to France, the room and bathroom were clean and large. Our group was made up of three women, so we shared a queen bed and a single. The beds were comfortable and the room was a good size with plenty of space for us and our bags without feeling too tight. There was a mini fridge and coffee area that was useful. We didn’t have any trouble with noise from outside or the neighbors, we were at the back of the hotel and you could hear a bit of noise from the alley, but not enough to disturb us.
I recently stayed at the Hotel du College de France with my family and it was an excellent experience. The medieval themed hotel is centrally located, making it easy to access all of the famous landmarks and attractions in Paris. The rooms were clean and well-appointed, with comfortable beds and modern amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful, providing us with excellent service throughout our stay. Furthermore, it was extremely convenient that the hotel offers breakfast in the morning.
I expected it to be a bit rubbish, to be honest, because it's a cheap hotel that we booked at very short notice. Actually, it's got charm. It's clean, the staff are nice, and when you're leaning out of your window over the tiny balcony, four floors up a slightly wonky staircase, looking out onto the mansard roofs and tall windows of the courtyard and listening to the muffled bustle of the rue de St Antoine - you know you could be nowhere else but Paris.
One of the best locations I've ever stayed in Paris, right on Bd St Michel, 2 steps from Bd St Germain, restaurants, boulangeries, even a Monoprix (supermarket) very close by
I was traveling with my daughter and they went above and beyond to accommodate us in a room with 2 beds, very appreciative of their effort! 5 stars for that!
Although we live in France and didn't require any extra help, the staff seemed nice and friendly;)
Great location, 10 mins walk to the tower and over the road from the Duplex metro which was a doddle to navigate and use.
Small but clean hotel with very polite and helpful staff. I’ve travelled a fair bit and this place tucked all the box’s for a relatively cheap visit to France.
We didn’t have breakfast there as there’s to many places to eat especially local bakeries .
Would definitely recommend.
This is one of the best hotels in Paris ... a legend with a massive history. I have stayed a number of times. Every room is unique. Photos of former guests in each room. Last time: Iggy Pop! This time: Jack Nicholson pictured on the night of the World Cup Final 1998. France 3, Brazil 0. Jack wearing the tricolore on his cheek. Red, white, blue...I love you!
Breakfast was great! The only thing I would have liked was a top sheet. We did not have a top sheet under the quilt. I think it must be a france thing because the hotel we are staying at now in the South of France does not have a sheet under the quilt. The top sheet keeps the bed cool and the quilt clean.

Awesome stay in Paris
Staff were highly accommodating and went above and beyond to ensure our stay in France was amazing.
No request was an issue. Comfortable bed and perfect location.
Highly recommend you stay here. Were so thankful to the staff for all they did for us.
Cathy & Shannon 😊
The hotel was air conditioned! this was a huge plus since there was a heat wave going on in France during our visit. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. There was a wide variety of food served. I would definitely stay here again.
I travel to France once or twice a year. The location was perfect for me as I love the 7th. I booked at the
hotel because the design/decor was beautiful. Kitchen was perfectly equipped...perfect and I am a retired chef.
Beautiful design in the rooms. Our room too small for two people.
Great location. Nice, quaint hotel with homey feel. France was very helpful in accommodating my family with a larger room with a view. It was our first visit to Paris and he upgraded us to a larger room near the end of our stay. Paul and Nelson were kind as well.
It is the only cheap and comfortable hotel in Paris.
The cheapest I think. Good for students who wants a private room.
Rooms are clean.
There is a big green area next to hotel.
Friendly workers.
Nice atmosphere in the lobby.
Basically the only redeeming quality of this place was its location, a convenient 7-minute walk away from the Paris Convention Center where we were attending a conference. The breakfast was also decent for Paris/France standards.
Luxury cosy stay @ reasonable rate, Paris France Hotel tick all the boxes in terms of comfortable level,, cleanliness, location, and best of all happy and helpful team of staff. Thank you for making my stay a memorable one :).
During the covid shutdown we stayed in various hotels in Paris. Thankfully the Amiral hotel has reopened - it is by far the best 4*, not the cheapest but well worth the extra. And the heated indoor pool is just too.
One of the very cheap hotel and very clean and a very environmental place to stay and enjoy your time in Paris. Coffees in the morning tasting very nice and strong.A hotel with a room service of an expensive hotel.
Great location near SNCF station. I'm sorry I didn't get the guy's name at the front desk but he was hands down the friendliest hotel employee we met in 5 weeks of traveling through France. Give that guy a raise!
Very nice staff who tried to help with any request. Great location close to the Pantheon and other Paris sights. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was the best we had over a three week trip to France.
Perfectly situated between Marais and the 11th. Large, clean rooms with balcony and all amenities. One of the best (cheap) hotels I ever stayed in in Paris.
