The owner of the accomodation Jeswin is amazing! He helped us organize boat trips and a night on a river boat. He also helps with ordering food to the hotel and provides tea and coffee. The location is beautiful - right on the river so you can see the boats go past. We were here for three nights and could stay for a lot longer!

I was pleasantly surprised at this place. I wonder why the reviews are not better than they are? Can't really knock it for the price and the fact breakfast included. I think this hotel was a great stay and also close to an amazing Allepey Beach which has amazing waters. Staff were helpful and very flexible with keeping luggage/later checkout etc which I thought was very helpful as Ive stayed at many places which are the complete opposite.

I just stayed a night and was very pleased with the room. It felt fresh and clean and had a big comfy bed. The balcony was a nice feature. Breakfast in included and had some yummy Indian basics and watermelon. It was dreadfully hot there and the A/C unit worked great. The location is somewhat close to the train station, perhaps a 20-minute walk (which might feel like an hour in the heat!). Getting to the beach is quick, there's a path past the property and over the train tracks to the beach and it takes two to three minutes. If you want to go downtown it's either a long long walk, an auto rickshaw or several minutes walk to the road with all the buses.

Alleppey feels more of a jumping off point for back-water tours, rather than anything of note in and of itself. The main beach is only really good for going for a stroll to watch the (always cloudy) sunset - it's not setup for daytime relaxation. Stepping into the town, there are very few good places to eat, and as a Westerner the lack of being able to sit somewhere with an alcoholic drink was rather strange (there are liquor stores you can buy drink from for consumption in private). We stayed as a base for five nights - two, or maximum three would have sufficed.

The beach was nice, Boathouse that we took was that good, we took the day trip boat food was not within the expectation was very disappointed as the cook was from norther instead of local cook. Therefore we had only 2 kerala dishes vegetable and friend wish other menu was Dhal, rice , chapati and raita, mix veg. The starting point of boathouse was very disappointing where we saw kids diapers , and other plastic garbage floating around. Hope they can maintain the clearness and also ensure local food is serve on the boathouse. Otherwise the journey was beautiful we took a smaller boat to visit the local houses more closer.

A nice place to visit just for a day.
A nice place to visit just for a day. We opted for Shikara boats, which worked perfectly. Some people may prefer to spend their nights in a house boat, although, It may be quite boring for such long hours in still water.
The Alleppey beach is a must visit. A lot of people also visit Marari beach, however, I personally prefer the Alleppey beach since its much cleaner.
Must try - Seafood (although I am a Vegetarian, so cannot comment on that).
Most likely, one may visit this place only once and there are very less things to do here. So planning the trip for 1 or 1.5 days is more than enough.

We did the Charlotte Cruise Boat at Alleppy as a couple for one night. The check in was better than most hotels we visited in India! Our host introduced us to the boat’s captain and chef! We were greeted with fresh coconut water and the check in was smooth. The boat was wonderful! Just like a hotel setting but on water. The views were spectacular and food was delicious! We got to pick our own fish from a local fisherman and got to go on a smaller canal boat for an hour whilst the sunset and see the narrower parts of the backwaters. The only drawback is we were not informed of the additional cost of this which was RS1000 but it was worth it!

Alleppey is probably the nicest town along this bit of the coast, its noticeably cleaner and friendlier than other more touristy places. The beach front is slightly spoiled visually by the new raised coast highway being built but once you've got used to the structure you sort of forget it and get on with other things. The town is going through a period of change and will hopefully get better once many of the old historic buildings have been renovated and put to new uses. The town has clearly suffered from changes in industry but there is a move by the town council to breathe new life into the region and the investment will be worth it and make Alleppey great again!

Regarding this trip i need to share a few things I need to share with u all. Alleppey is one the best to go and we have got a tour guide person named " Joseph John ". One of the best tour guides we have ever seen from Homestay to Return he always cares like a family member ( We travelled with him & He showed famous temples church & Museums... He showed the Coir Industry also..... Really we have enjoyed this tour... Thanks to Joseph
Newly made property..Rooms have fresh touches with furnitures..beach is 100 metre only..main alappuzha beach is fully accessible with restaurants, bars and chilled beers, seafoods and local restaurants and nearly 800 metres from the property is guess..government road construction is a mess in alleppey but beach is beautiful with all available needs for a traveller..very good service from the property staffs and owners.budget friendly
Lovely modern hotel and room in a good location to be able to access everything in Alleppey. Good WiFi, fan, AC and hot water with toiletries, kettle and tea/coffee provided in the room. Room was very big with a balcony and two comfortable chairs. Very comfortable and big bed. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were able to leave our bags at reception after check out and pick up later in the day. Would highly recommend.
Staff was very hospitable. We had good conversations with the manager (Alina) and the captain through the cruise. We bought some seafood from a village market and the chef cooked it to our request. They also got us some local liquor to try (coconut toddy). The peace and quiet of the Alleppey backwaters is a great experience and the comfortable stay on this houseboat made it pleasurable for our family.
Pathetic services and pathetic management. They were not helpful at all we had a situation where we needed help but they were not professional at all. Hotel is overpriced in everything they are just making people fool. Nothing as a five star hotel regretting even by staying at the hotel. Booking is a pathetic website no help i got at all. Neither a reply from the site will never use this app again.
Absolutely loved our stay at paddy n canal in Alleppey Robin is incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The room was cozy, and the traditional Kerala breakfast they served was delightful. The location was perfect, allowing us to explore the backwaters easily. Boats can reach in front of the homestay.Highly recommend this homestay for Alleppey experience!
The location is ideal, as it is 3 minutes walking from the boat station and the bus Stand. The staffwas very kind and helpful. We did not have much time in Alleppey, and they arranged a tuktuk ride so that we could see the main sites of the city. It is a lovely family. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again if we went back to Alleppey.
Antony is a great host, he will do everything to facilitate your stay, he also offers 2 brand new bikes for rent which will allow you to easily discover all the beautiful places in Alleppey because the location of the hotel is perfect for everything. Thank you Antony and thank you also to all these friends thanks to whom I had an excellent stay..
Me and my partner loved this hotel! If you are staying in Alleppey, then this is the place to stay. Extremely clean, and the most helpful staff we have had on our trip in India. The owner helped us book our tours and helped us get a ride to our next destination in Munnar. And having A/C after a hot day of sightseeing makes this place the best!
The room is basic but clean and has a fan. The bathroom does not have a sink but there are a couple right outside. The room is great value for money and the WiFi worked amazingly for zoom calls, as I work from home. The hosts were so lovely and helped us book trips in Alleppey. Nice location near a great sea view restaurant.
Nice cosy room. Newly refurbished room, bathroom was cleaned and bad was comfortable. Nice lobby with some sort grand old fashioned decor staffs were very friendly and service were excellent. Definitely will come back to stay here as my hotel of choice when I'm at Alleppey . Cool location.. nearly Alleppey railway station.
Bamboo Lagoon Backwater Front Resort is an amazing place in Alleppey. Even before the stay, we were contacted to arrange everything. You reach the resort by crossing the river with a small boat. The resort itself is wonderful. The rooms are very spacious and clean. The staff was wonderful.
Best place to stay in Alleppey. Very nice spacious clean room in best localisation. The Owner - Jibu - is the nicest person you could imagine, very friendly and helpful. Told us what to see and helped with organisation. If you are planning to stay in Alleppey highly recommend that place :)
I highly recommend the Homestay! It made my trip to Alleppey very special. Not only are the home-cooked meals very delicious but the family is exceptionally kind, welcoming and helpful as well! I couldn't have imagined it any better!!
Nothing as the hotel actually not exist, there is a shabby place instead, as we came we were told there is no room for reservation, we were escorted to another hotel and asked pay double price.
Lovely hotel on the banks of the lake, we spent a few nights in the hotel and rented one of the house boats at the hotel for 4 nights. A nice mix for a weeks holiday.
The staff were very helpful. They arranged transportation and tours for us. I loved the rain shower in our room. The hotel is located really close to the main beach.
