Small, pretty town, with plenty of craft shops, galleries and places to eat and drink. Friendly residents. Lovely gifts to be found in Morva, good food to be had in the Cutty Sark restaurant. The bar in the Godolphin Hotel is a good spot for a drink with a view. A wander around the town is worth it, as is a visit to the craft fair, which is on in All Saints Church Hall on Mondays and Tuesdays. The local shop is good for essentials like milk and tea, but self-catering visitors might need to head farther afield for a 'big shop'.

Marazion is a nice, pretty, seaside town that doesn't feel overly touristic; nice pubs, other places to eat, a few galleries, interesting museum and, of course, St Michael's Mount to photograph from all angles! Parking is restricted but the town is quite well served by local bus services. Main deficiencies are that it currently lacks a Post Office or ATM if you need cash or more than just a postage stamp.

Marazion and the surrounding area was fantastic.

Marazion and the surrounding area was fantastic. There were quite a few problems with the accomodation though while we were there, including electrical issues which meant no tv and no wifi, damp in the lounge area and windows in the lounge that let rainwater in. Also the host stopped replying to my emails which we thought rather rude.

Charming town with very friendly citizens and other tourists. We loved how quiet and peaceful it was while at the same time the town felt alive and there were many commerces with charming entrepreneurs running them. It is easy to just walk around Marazion but you can also move around in a cab.

    We simply loved the place.

We simply loved the place. A wonderful, quiet and quaint little village perfect for a seaside escape. The only thing it was missing was, perhaps, a proper shop for supplies, and maybe more diverse eating options ( there were no Asian themed places, for instance).

We went out of season so many shops did not open even if they displayed opening times, open one day and not the next. Small place but has most of what you need and is very close to other larger areas that offer more. Good location and nice walks. Can imagine in peak times it is very difficult to get about and find a place to eat.

I chose the Marazion Hotel because of the excellent reviews and was not disappointed. Our room was spotless and very comfortable. The staff were without exception super friendly and helpful. We felt genuinely cared about and cared for. The bar has a great pub feel and is popular with locals which is a good sign. The sheltered beer garden was a great place to make the most of the Spring sunshine out of the wind. We had dinner in the restaurant - generous portions of fine local produce - but it was the breakfasts that made our stay. Excellent!!

Nice spacious detached 2 bedroom bungalow that was one of nine similar detached properties. It is set just over the sea wall from the coast path in a quiet position and had an outdoor seat facing St Michaels Mount. It was conveniently set around 20 minutes level walk from the often very busy Marazion. Penzance was within 50 minutes flat walking. The bungalow was clean and well equipped and built as a holiday property so did not take away property from the locals . There was plenty of parking and 2 cafes within 100 yards.

The location, views and the cottage exceeded expectations. The house is fully equipped and beautifully designed. It is truly a magical spot, and it’s close enough to town to walk to restaurants and St Michael’s Mount. Also a path for walks on the beach. The owner is responsive and provided great information about the house and the surrounding area. We would highly recommend this property and look forward to returning.

Comfortable room - everything was clean and the bed was comfortable. Complimentary water was restocked everyday. Wonderful breakfast options and hearty portions. The view of St. Michael’s Mount from the restaurant is spectacular. The inhouse restaurant is great for a dinner as well. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating. This hotel was definitely the highlight of our holiday.

Fantastic apartment within easy walk of the amazing and family friendly beach at Marazion and 10 minute walk to the village with local pub and 2 great restaurants. The lookout that we stayed in has a outstanding bathroom with a huge bath and walk in shower. Log burner for cold evenings and underfloor heating which is lovely under foot. Great patio and garden for Bbqs and drinks. 5 stars.

We loved the size of the accommodation for a family of 4. Accommodation was clean and practical for a week away. We loved having use of the pool, especially for our young children! The location was in easy reach of many beaches and other local attractions. There was also a brand new playground 10 mins down the road which was perfect for our children!

Great location for exploring Marazion and west Cornwall. The house is a good size and well equipped with great views over to St Michael's Mount. The master bedroom (upstairs) had a lovely new ensuite with freestanding bath and power shower. Handy shortcut to the shops/beach etc. at the back of the property through the pub car park.

Great little place, compact, private and quiet. Easy to get to in Marazion and ideal base to explore south Cornwall. Hot tub was great even in November , relaxing under the stairs in the evening. Easy parking and local pub for food. Good communication with the hosts on arrival day. Definitely recommend and would return.
