Several options given for continental style breakfast to help yourself to. Nice touch with fresh fruit left in fridge and home made muesli. Appreciated the convenience of accessing accomodation. Easy parking to one side of house outside accomodation side entry. Nice modern dwelling and facilities. Good option to have use of the owner's pool (we weren't there long enough to make use of this). Nice and comfy lounge to sit in for several people with big screen TV to make use of. Good value for money overall, even though half an hour from our plans in Hamilton.

Quaint little town.
Quaint little town. Where we stayed in the town everything was at our finger tips, ie. easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, takeaways, parks, easy access to the expressway north & south etc. We will come back to Cambridge.

Cambridge is lovely quaint town that has a relaxed "Old English" charm [yes it also has it's own "Queen Street"] that embraces visitors wishing to explore and experience new adventures [especially cycling related - eg river trails, cycling races/tours/champs and the Avantidrome for track cyclists] whilst enjoying a variety of local cafes, eateries, bars and restaurants etc [check out the yummy turkish pitas/wraps at Kebabelicious down town]. It's very easy to navigate and get around a predominantly flat landscape by bike, foot or car. And to get there from Warkworth [just 2.5-3 hr trip now] is even easier now that the new motorway takes you to and through Auckland on to the speedy 110 kph Waikato expressway which then takes you right into the heart of Cambridge from the 2nd exit ramp [next after the Avantidrome one] via a lovely straight road past Amazon's huge spaceship-like distribtution centre - nga mihi nunui [many thanks] Cambridge - see you again real soon !! :-)

Very cute little town.
Very cute little town. Not a lot to do here but we just used it to sleep over for an event in Te Awamutu.
We stayed at the Top 10 Holiday Park which we found to be very tidy and clean for a camp ground. Would highly receommend it.
Our favourite restaurant was Hanoi Boy. The service and food were exceptional.

The room needed to be opened up and aired out before guests arrived it smelt bad when walked in. Some flyspray for the ants would be good... we used a bit of pepper and that seemed to work. The couch and dining chairs were very uncomfortable and need to be upgraded. The bed was hard and lumpy and did not sleep well..There are some birds that may be nesting on ..in..or close to the roof...that were very loud in the morning and woke us up. The TV was small and where placed was hard to watch from the couch.

The atmosphere is lovely and relaxed. Nice shop owners. Nice open park areas and interesting shops and exhibitions. Very friendly and helpful staff in the information centre. Good variety of restaurants and food available.
The Hidden Lake Hotel is part of a new development in Cambridge outside Hamilton. The facilities were all very new and of a high standard, the room had a nice view and was a good size. The WiFi was free and the hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. It was a great location as a base for our visit to Hobbiton. The hotel is very close to the eponymous "Hidden Lake" and the centre of Cambridge with its many coffee shops and typical Kiwi country-town feeling is a short walk away.
Everything.
Wonderful hosts, who went over & above to make our stay pleasurable. With information on the area & home made breakfast items.
We had a very comfortable room with a most adequate ensuite bathroom. Location was quiet, & 10’-15’ drive to Cambridge for restaurants.
John suggested going to Hamilton Gardens on our way to Auckland, which we really enjoyed.
I was only guest that night so got personal attention from host - a very engaging English lady. Building (ca.1920s) was originally a hotel, has had other uses, and has been restored as boutique B&B. Huge room, huge bed, well fitted bathroom, walk-in wardrobe even. It's just off the main street in Cambridge with lots of shops and eateries nearby.
The location was excellent. Located in beautiful farm land with only a 5 minute drive to Cambridge shops. The outlook was beautiful with a swimming pool and spa surrounded by a deck to look at the view. Wendy and Mike, our hosts, were absolutely amazing, kind, friendly and extremely helpful.
The room was clean and tidy. Not a "fancy" place but certainly did the trick. We wanted to stay somewhere so we could have a few drinks and not drive! The Hotel is good walking distance from all the bars and restaurants. Easy check in and out. Good parking off street. Would stay here again.
A lovely heritage-style home located in a quiet street in Cambridge, it is a convenient short walk to the town centre. The house is light, airy and spacious, with quality decoration. It was a wonderful place to stay while exploring the Waikato region.
The house is beautiful and set in the rolling hills outside of Cambridge. Our hosts were even better. From the moment we arrived we were treated as honored guests. They hit the balance between attentive and relaxed.
Breakfast, we suggest small pudding bowls plus cereal eg muesli, rather than a muesli bar. Probably cheaper option!
Enough for 3 people. A grass per person would be nice!
