1) As a vacation destination and the importance of a balcony for accommodation, I have to mention that the door to the balcony due to the broken key inside the lock was not accessible and locked for more than 2 weeks and took 2-3 days and visit of a repair person visiting the place.
2) Most importantly, there is a shortage of water for about 12 hours per day in the property and very difficult to have a proper shower in the place because water is cutoff in the morning or afternoon for showers and this issue was not mentioned at all in the description of the property and I was not aware of that.
3) This problem I am mentioning here is the worst thing that happened to me in whole of my life that when I sent a message to the owner of the property in English, she sent a voice message that it was STUPID that I spoke just English and no French. It was shocking for me.
4) When I arrived to the facility, for 3-4 first days I did not have internet as WIFI did not work and it was important for me to have it for my work.
5) Also, the air conditioner did not work for 3-4 days when contacted to the person in charge he said that I had to contact to the owner of the property but after 3-4 days the air conditioner started to work.
6) There was a problem with electricity due to the water linkage from the second floor and shortage of electricity for more then a week and just today fixed.
for a week there was no electricity in the corridor and toilets, and the facility was not properly cleaned.

The property is as the description states, not always the case. Losing the water on the island for almost two days is an island problem, not the property's fault. They did what they could to lessen the effects of the outage.

We hired a car, and were able to get around easily , we liked St Annes, and ate there. I am vegetarian and would highly recommend
Widy Gregos...just 10 mins away, I believe the food was vegan, and gluten-free, whatever it was fabulous.
It is necessary to book.
From our apartment, we could drive to anywhere in Guadeloupe in about an hour.
Beaches were clean and generally sand and rocks.
Wildlife was abundant, from Iguanas to Humming birds.
Driving from one island to the other always involved going through Point a Pitre the capital which was via a busy motorway...not something we expected.

We liked the beaches before the town, Arawak and next to The Pelican Hotel. Very quiet and good swimming. The Pelican bar was good for Tapas and cocktails. The town beach Datcha was very crowded with tourists and bars.
Le Ti Maki is a very good restaurant but you need to book.
New Ti Paris, live Jazz restaurant, again need to book

The area we were in was really seedy and run-down.
The area we were in was really seedy and run-down. We eventually found an area that had some forms of eateries - I wouldn’t call them restaurants.
We had to get our phone torches out on every side street as they were unlit and uneven.
Maybe there are nicer areas of Le Gosier, but we did not stay around to find out.
Being attacked in the street and sprayed with pepper spray with no provocation will do that for you.
There are hundreds of gorgeous places on Guadeloupe - choose them, personally, I would avoid Le Gosier.

The apartment has a great location, literally 5 min walk through a garden area to a semi-private lovely beach with a terrific view and lounging chairs available free of charge. The nearby ( 1 min walk) mini market has supplies for breakfast (croissants and baguettes, as well as french cheeses !) and many other items. A choice of 5 cozy restaurants are next door too , super convenient. We loved our visit to the very point of Grande Terre, le Pointe des Chateaux, as well as our drive to Basse Terre and the village of Deshaies, where Murder in Paradise was filmed.Rental car is the best way to get around, there is bus service, but it tends to be crowded. The apartment is lovely, very well equipped and quiet.
Jose and Lorena, the owners were brilliant.. They and the other guests were great fun and even though we are English and speak very limited French, they took the time to make us feel included, even giving me an impromptu birthday party. We used the apartment as a base to explore the rest of the island and our hosts gave us the best places to go and any advice we needed.
We had a really special holiday, we wouldn't have had the same experience in a hotel.
It was challenging to find the property at first as Google Maps had the wrong place. The owners spoke no English and cell signal was spotty so it was a bit stressful at first. Once there, we were 100m from Petit-Havre! The upstairs apartment was wide open and had wonderful views. We were comfortable and didn’t bother to use air conditioning as the breeze was wonderful!
This is a well-situated hotel on a beautiful beach with several good restaurants and a small grocery store close by. They'll also make you a panini in the shop located in the lobby. A kitchenette is located on the room's balcony and provides a lovely space to cook and eat. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided. The ambience is simple and the vibe relaxing.
Beds beyond hard. The free breakfast options could of def been made fresh and more options horrible options. The ac leaked the first night there the beds are very small and very hard. Despite the room the ambiance of the hotel and beach which really makes this place something was the best part just not where you sleep at night
Nice setting with low buildings around a pool in a lovely garden. The room was quite spacious. The owner is friendly but she is a lot around at the hotel since she also lives there, so this is something some people might like while others would miss privacy.
I like the atmosphere. The staff was very welcoming. The hotel is also spacious and has activities to do both during the day and at night. Very welcoming and family oriented. The breakfast was good esp the croissant and guava juice.
I loved the hotel area community in which this property was situated because it allowed for easy access to restaurants and night life at night. It felt safe with soo many other tourists walking within the space as well.
Cosy clean place. Beautiful terrace, nature, calm. The owner Lise was amazing. She was awesome, she showed me some places around and greeted me like a 5 star hotel. I was very happy to have such an experience.
Perfect location in le gosier from the datcha beach and from restaurants. It had everything you needed. Fantastic view from the kitchen. Very good parking facility. Madame Anna was so nice and helpful.
Super cute and clean room with an amazing ocean view. I loved this hotel with great amenities, beautiful private beach and super tasteful restaurants. I highly recommend it!
The place is overrated, overpriced and rundown. The pictures on Booking.com are to nice and colourful, it doesn't represent the actual state of the hotel/room.
