The main square was a pleasant place to sit and watch the world go by. There are plenty of decent shops, but lacking a good independent pasticceria. You can still buy pastries from cafes and one of the many supermarkets.
You won't be stuck for a decent pizzeria as there are several. Il Grottino and Spano's do a good take away as well as eating in. You can eat well in one of the many spaghetteria.
People are mainly friendly and helpful. Driving isn't difficult.
One of the best, tastiest meals we had was the street vendor near the tower: The Sunrise Street Food. You can sit outside and enjoy the view across a bay. The food is excellent!
Rubbish needs to be taken to one of the recycling points (behind the police station).
There's a very touristy looking restaurant overlooking the Rena Bianca beach, but it sells good gelati! Don't be put off.
The Rena Bianca beach is gorgeous. The water is so clear. I will definitely be going back.
Ooh yes, the highlight for my son was seeing a wild boar in town!

Public transportation, including ferry to Corsica was a good experience.
Good variety of restaurants, shops, cafes.. however if visiting during "off season" be flexible as not all of the regular facilities are open.
Town was friendly and people offered suggestions, and directions.which we appreciated.

I didn't find there was much to see/do, some restaurants/shops were close to the hotel. For me this was a stop over to wait out the ferry that did not sail to Corsica, my actual destination, due to the cyclone.
This would not be a location I would return to, except if I was getting the ferry again..

Better value than other places in Sardinia
Very nice, clean and well equipped B&B in a calm area. The host Diego was also very nice and caring. He speaks good English and gives many helpful tips for beaches and restaurants. The breakfast was lovingly prepared, with many homemade dishes. There is the possibility to park in front of the accommodation and it is a 10 minute walk from the center.
We can highly recommended the B&B and also the place Santa Teresa Gallura. :)
The hotel is very clean, well located just in front a supermarket. The city is a 10min walk or 2min drive where you can find all the restaurants and business. All staff is very kind and attentive with the guests, really felt in a 5-star hotel with their tratment. Special thanks to the barman Riccardo that has very good drinks and is super nice!
One of the best stay in all my travel time in North Sardinia. Location great, not far bus station, supermarket near, also not far is coastline, some historical ancient places in walk away distance. Room was clean, bed comfortable, internet connection was great. Room had fridge. Everything was great, I can recommend this hotel to anyone.
This place feels very secluded. The room was quiet, clean, comfortable and has everything you would expect in a hotel. It's close to restaurants and bars and close to the ferry terminal. Staff was super friendly and relaxed, helped me with my questions and allowed me to stow my luggage for a few hours.
Great place, would recommend it.
Room is nice and clean, hotel is close to the centre which is very lively at nights. Town is small and easily navigated by car. Breakfast was amazing, staff attentive. There was a small balcony with hanger for wet clothes, wifi runs well. For dinner try pizzeria La Luciolla. I'd return again, recommended!
Amazing location, loved our terrace. Room was nice and quiet and we had a great time having a private breakfast on the patio. The family who runs the B&B is super nice. Thanks Max, Nicoletta, Julia and Andreas. We loved your place and town. Breakfast was very nice.
A very nice hotel. Very lovely staff that are always ready to help you. The room has everything you need, a nice big bathroom, loved the cute little balcony as well. The location was also great, a short walk to the main square with all the restaurants and shops.
So very clean, like a brand new apartment. Location was perfect for walking to beach, restaurants & shops. Excellent water pressure in shower & great hair dryer. Host was very responsive for all correspondence. Would definitely stay here if we return to STG.
Hotel and family staff were fantastic.
Nothing was a problem and Francesca even picked us up at the Port.
One of the most well maintained and clean, original hotel we've stayed at.
Very close to Town Square
Could not recommend higher
Fantastic location, super quiet and short distance by car from Santa Teresa Gallura town and Rena Majore, our favorite beach.
The host was very kind, served us a delicious breakfast outside.
Perfect location for beach and town square. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Hotel was spotlessly clean and very well maintained. Facilities and service were really good.
The hotel is fantastically located a short walk from the town square which is full of excellent restaurants and shops. 10/10 for cleanliness! Easy parking on the street.
I really liked the boutique feeling inside of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. The rooms were nicely decorated and very clean.
