Really lovely family-run hotel. Only a 2-min walk from the station, so it was perfect for my day trips to the Cinque Terre. Bedroom was cosy with a large wardrobe and nice sea view and a large ensuite. Breakfast was excellent, and I liked the personal touch with the coffee orders!

The location of the hotel was fantastic. Basically at the beach. Bonassola is much more cozy than other cities in Cinque Terre. The Staff were all very friendly and kind, though not all speak English. The room was very clean, spacious and had a balcony on the sea side.

The view of Villa Mimosa is splendid. You can see the bay of Bonassola. It is quiet located with beautiful garden surrounding. Our room for 4 pax was much bigger than expected, with separate sleeping rooms and a big bathroom, all very clean. The hosts are just lovely and very attentive. We received cold water bottles at arriving and even for departure, and watermelon as well as cookies at our stay! There is a small kitchen to use outside of the room, and also sunbeds and a dining table. The way to the beach (with gravel/rocks) is around 15 min walk, half of it on the street and half with stairs, a bit steep but good for fitness. In summer you have to reserve umbrella/chairs at the beach, we couldn't find any available. In Bonassola there are nice restaurants and cafés. We would absolutely recommend Villa Mimosa!

Small, charming village that offered authentic local cuisine, great beaches, and not too crowded (even for high season). All restaurants we tried offered tasty food. The best offer was the Tourist lunch menu at Perballe - 15 Euros and the choices were delicious and fresh.

Bonassola is rather a small place and you will want to bike to the neighboring Levanto for most of your shopping. It is advisable to bring your bike since the old railway tunned was turned in to bike route it is very pleasant commute by bike.

A wonderful small seaside town.
A wonderful small seaside town. Excellent beach, a great choice of restaurants and not as crowded as the nearby Cinque Terre towns. Good walks and cycle routes along the original disused railway lines and tunnels. Frequent trains to all towns along the Ligurian coast.
Great location - Bonassola is a great starting point if you want to explore Cinque Terre, close and accessible yet less pricey than the villages, Levanto or La Specia. Not to mention that it's much more cozy, less crowded and it has an amazing beach and a few very nice restaurants. Perfect if you want to both enjoy the sea and explore the surroundings. The hotel is in the centre. It was very clean and we especially liked the rooftop breakfast area, it had a great view of the sea.
We stayed four nights at 'Cinzias' and had a wonderful, calm and peaceful stay at her apartment. The accommodation was beautiful, neat and tidy, and the outside area really one of a kind. Keep in mind that the apartment is nestled in the hills of Bonassola area (10-15 drive to the coast) with a wonderful view overlooking the sea. Check-In and communication with Cinzia were uncomplicated and all in all this accommodation offers the best value for money.
This is a fantastic apartment in a great location: 1 minute to the train station, 5 minutes to a great beach and cafes. Bonassola has several paths, we walked and met the sunrise and sunset with a stunning view. Our trip was at the end of October and the weather was wonderful: we swam in the sea, climbed the mountains. It is near 5 lands, two stations by train. Thank you for such friendly relations
Everything was perfect, starting from staff , location, lobby, room and ext.
I only wish the room has at least a kettle and a TV . but the owner explained that it’s a 1star hotel and they do not require to have this.
I could not think that was a 1star hotel , looked like 3+ stars hotel .
Thank you so much for your help and support, all suggestions you gave me.
All the best !!!
- Very close to the Bonassola train station.
- Beach view right outside the property.
- Many restaurants close by.
- AC was good, could turn on off anytime.
- Hot water running all time.
- Comfortable bedding etc.
- Had a cupboard to put clothes in and a safe to keep valuables if needed.
- Kept our luggage after checkout so we could still explore hassle free.
The views are out of the world! this was my first place where I stayed as a solo traveller and I couldn’t of been in a better place. super relaxing atmosphere, staff are super helpful and well the view is out of the world! didn’t want to leave. personally this is a steal so if they have rooms book them before italys best kept secret is exposed!
Was Parking was limited and tight spots to park a regular jeep. Plus the front desk Italian lady had her problems understanding my Italian and English. She granted me another day to park that rental Jeep then had a parking fine ticket sent or put on my car and passport fine when I was hotel granted an extra day to park on site.
Very welcoming staff and lovely view from the balcony. Bea the receptionist was really nice, helped us with restaurant recommendations and bookings. Nice breakfast, wonderful pistacchioo cornetto's and cappucinos with cinnamon and happy faces. The hotel is located in a quiet spot despite the very central location.
Very nice and tasty breakfast with a nice sea view on the roof top. Very close to both the free and paid beach. Very friendly and attentive staff. Quiet and safe area, not overcrowded with tourists, mostly locals. The whole hotel is newly renovated and very clean.
Very well equipped, clean, and comfortable.
Well located in Bonassola with a selection of bars and restaurants.
Only a short, cheap and easy train journey to the hustle and bustle of the Cinque Terre.
Caterina was a helpful and responsive host.
Would stay again.
We really liked the village of Bonassola, it has nice beach and it is not that touristic as the cinque terre villages. Very good italian breakfast prepared by Luca the owner and you eat it at the terrace with such views! Amazing calm place :)
Great location near station in Bonassola which is lovely and quiet but convenient to explore Cinque Terre. Great breakfast including gluten free, fridge and microwave and basic kitchen equipment available even in smaller room.
This hotel offers old world charm. It's deco design and antique furnishings made us feel immediately comfortable. The location is ideal for accessing all that this area offers. The staff were friendly and efficient.
Lovely hotel in Bonassola. The room was very comfy, the staff were friendly and accommodating, the breakfast in the morning was great, and the icing on the cake is the outdoor terrace area and view. Simply beautiful!
Luca is one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. Great location with a view of the beautiful Bonassola and an amazing breakfast facing it!
