We were just here for one night prior to flying out of Inverness. The hotel is only a few miles from Inverness airport. The front desk staff kindly made us a reservation for dinner at the Snow Goose restaurant next door (not affiliated with this hotel). The room was small but adequate for just one night. Plenty of plugs/charging ports. Buffet breakfast was good, better than expected and way better than the Holiday Inn Express at Glasgow airport.

The staff were wonderful. Very kind and accommodating. Breakfast was very good. Our second room was in the townhouse across the street and was better. Walk up to second floor, window opened. Nice array of teas and coffees and a kettle. Bed was acceptable, but not super comfy. Honestly, if it weren't for the lovely staff (and the no-refund), I would have moved to another hotel.

We checked in with the assistance of Jules, who turned out to be superwoman.
She served great 🍺, then evening meals making us feel relaxed. Then we had a good breakfast and yes you guessed served by Jules. Her service made a good over stay more memorable. Many thanks from all four of us.

We were unable to have a full breakfast since we had to catch our tour bus. Peter quickly made up take away bacon rolls when he heard this. Although the hotel is not in city centre, it was close enough to get us to our tour pick up spot in reasonable time & their parking lot is not congested. Thus we were able to leave our car there during our 3 day tour away. An on site restaurant open for dinner until 9 PM is a really nice convenience & option to have. The staff were all very friendly & helpful. There was good value for money.

Inverness is a major city in Northern Scotland, and, as such has many and varied facilities.
Plenty of opportunities to eat out, or just enjoy a drink.
The people we met were friendly and helpful.
Our favourite places were the Inverness Botanical Gardens and the Falls of Foyers, (which are about 15 miles away)

Lovely city with some really beautiful parts.
Lovely city with some really beautiful parts. Clearly a seedy side (there was a major assault not 50m from our door on one night!), which is true of any city, but Inverness is small enough for it to feel cheek by jowl with the nicer parts. Great range of places to eat and things to do. Easily walkable to everywhere.

Inverness is a beautiful city. Nice shopping streets and shops. Many nice restaurants with varied menu options. We recommend Aye Eats for the Scottish experience and food. Also, recommend House of Aran for shopping. Both are with in walking distance of our accommodation.

It’s a surprisingly small down that feels a bit empty in the day - mostly comes to life at night with all the live music in bars. For tourists, seems mostly a stopping point en route to Loch Ness rather than a destination of its own.

Easy to get to city whether travelling by road, rail, bus and air (air port slightly out of Inverness). We travelled by train and we had lunch in the Ash Restaurant next to the railway station as we had time to kill before we got into our apartment and food was excellent. We also visited the Palace hotel for afternoon tea which was also good.
Plenty of eateries, pubs and shops
We traveled all over Scotland on our holiday on the train so for that the location was perfect step out of station next step into the hotel. Room cosy it was advertised at, very small would be more realistic especially for the price we paid, if it had been £100 cheaper for the 3 nights we stayed i'd have been happy but it was the least value for money of all the 5 hotels we stayed in on our holiday, it was clean etc no issues there. We didn't eat in the hotel spent our food money in the local witherspoons pub.
this place was perfect. it was a 5 minute drive (if that) into Inverness. everything about the place was fantastic. it was clean, spacious, cute, and nice. it was the best place we stayed in our two week trip to Scotland. I would recommend everyone to stay here. unfortunately we weren’t able to use the hot tub but that would have been an extra bonus. they provided croissants, bread, jam, milk, and butter for breakfast. the hosts were kind and friendly.
I stayed at Inchrye my first night landing in Scotland and I was worried I was going to arrive past check in hours, but no need to worry because they figured everything out for me to come in and grab my key and head up to my room. It is the cutest little place and the breakfast was incredible in the morning. I would go back and stay there. Great location, near Fort George, Culloden, Clava Cairns and Cawdor Castle. Quiet village though.
Very convenient for Inverness and destinations on the A9, like Aviemore. Well-appointed kitchen, good fridge, microwave, washing machine. Excellent shower, separate bedroom very comfortable. Excellent blackout curtains, important in Scotland in June! Easy parking. Good wifi. Bread, milk etc kindly provided. So nice to be able to step out onto the little patio and see the hills, and I even like the fact that you can see the A9.
quaint & whimsical; geometric & modern all at once. A skylight to listen to the raucous chorus of the gulls *and* enjoy the 18-hour daylight time. Lynda keeps her home in impeccable order and cleanliness. She was kind enough to gift me a book - when I asked if she had anything I could read; Frank get the door by Janey Godley is now my most treasured souvenir from Scotland.
Everything was above our expectations. We were made to feel totally at home by Margaret who ran the accommodation. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable. There was an excellent choice of hot and cold food at breakfast. Good safe parking and convenient for Inverness and the surrounding area. The best accommodation we have had touring Scotland.
Highly recommended.
The location was perfect for us to walk into Inverness, which gave a break from driving and public transport.
Cathy is a lovely lady, a genuine Scot, warm hearted and kind. We drove to loch ness in the evening which was about 8 miles away.
Her breakfast was amazing, we loved the fresh strawberries. We would definitely go back the next time we are in Scotland.
The Chieftain was amazing. From the staff, to the room, to the pub, it was all a great experience. We have been bouncing around Scotland for a little over a week and my kids think Inverness was by far their favorite place. The Chieftain had a lot to do with that. Also, the Hop On-Hop Off bus tour has a stop right across the street!
The hosts were so welcoming and helpful. This was our first time visiting Scotland and this was the perfect first night’s stay. Location was great given it’s just about a 10 min walk from the city center and if you’re getting used to driving on the “proper side of the road” 😉 you might not want to drive into the city just yet.
Staff were so friendly when we arrived and welcoming to our dog.
We only stayed one night to break our journey home from the north of Scotland and the hotel was perfect for this.
Also the bathroom was huge with a great shower over a bath which I needed to wash my dogs legs when he had been for a walk😊
It was very comfortable and relaxing. Two private bedrooms, bathroom and sitting room. Plenty of room for luggage. Karen is a wonderful hostess. The food she prepared was delicous and she offered the opportunity to try new things. Her knowledge of Scotland and tips of places to see was very helpful.
The guest house is perfectly located on a quiet river front street with great views yet close to city center
Tastefully decorated rooms and well thought out amenities. Host was amazing and the breakfast the best we have had (which says a lot) since our 15 stop tour of Ireland and Scotland.
I was in Scotland for a bike trip and stayed here before and after. Even had the same room. A well managed hotel in a brilliant location. Easy parking and close to the centre. The room was clean and offered a brilliant shower and tv. I enjoyed dinner and breakfast. Highly recommend!
Chris was a great host. His breakfast’s were the best in Scotland. The complimentary chocolates and whiskey were great. Great deal all around and only a few blocks walk to the restaurants and river attractions. Free street parking in front of the property was very convenient.
Cherry Tree Cottage was exceptional. The hosts met us and were very friendly. The house was super clean and close in to everything. Loved having a full kitchen and laundry facilities. Highly recommend. We are hoping to travel back to Scotland and want to stay here again.
Absolutely brilliant. We travel a lot for work and this is the best, cheapest and most comfortable place we've stayed in Scotland in years. Off street parking is a major plus. Staff were friendly and quick to respond to online queries prior to checking in.
So glad we found this place. The views were stunning, the grounds impressive, the room had a sense of grandeur and the staff are so friendly. We’ve stayed at most hotels in Inverness - this is our favourite. As a bonus, it’s the most value for money too.
