Lovely Old Town, pretty and packed with history. Beautiful location, even more so in the evening/night. Easy and inexpensive to visit islands and nearby towns using local ferries and buses. Friendly people. Excellent, plentiful and well-priced restaurants and bars. Favourites were Dalmatina (fish/seafood), L'Osteria (seafood), Pizzeria Tri Bunara (worth the queue), Coffee & Cake (breakfast) and Konoba Tovar (goulash). Fave bars include The Trooper Bar (beer/metal), Deja Brew (beer) and Zlatni Kutic (people watching). Cheap, plentiful, quality seafood, bakery produce and fruit & veg from the market. Visited the usual spots including monastery and museums. Zadar is a great city for a short break.
Zadar is a great city for a short break. I stayed for 4 nights which was just enough. Old town has lots of history, beautiful buildings, shops, restaurants and bars. It has a lovely waterfront promenade and a beach is walkable. Many excursions available and also a 15 minute ferry ride to the nearby island is very cheap. Taxi from airport is reasonably priced and I took bus back there for 5 euros.

I really like the old city.
I really like the old city. We visited restaurant Šime in Borik, good meat, nice personal. Further we injoy the boat trip to National park Kornati on boat Svatie Šime. The public bus transpor is easy.AAnonymous - 10Scored 10

A great country to visit with plenty to see and do. Croatia has been in the pipeline for a while & I’m so glad I went. Not many countries make me go back but it’s ticked so many boxes for me. If you can hire a car, this would be really beneficial. Mountains, rivers, lakes & lush green clean countryside. Excellent & exactly what I wanted.

Our host was so welcoming, she made our stay definitely a 5 star experience. The complimentary treats when we arrived were really nice. The room was very peaceful. There were 2 balconies. Also a nice couch to relax and read books. We cannot enjoy more and we visited here one more time also on our way back. So we could play with Lea ( the doggy) and the cat. We booked one of the front rooms, with a balcony that overlooked the harbor with view of Old Town. The balcony was lovely, perfect for an evening meal or morning coffee. The family that lives here is super friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need, directions, recommendations, etc. The unit was clean and well-stocked. Breakfast was very good.

The mobile home was not premium, it was pretty basic. If you call having a dishwasher and a few slogans written on the walls premium, then you are sorely mistaken. Very expensive for what it was. We checked out early and relocated to a luxurious 5 star hotel and it cost less than the price of this shoebox on a campsite!

I had a warm welcome - at once got af fine map of Zadar with many explanations. You can walk to the old town in half an hour or you can drive. The breakfast is fine.
