We stayed for a week. the apartment was simple but very clean. We came looking for sun, beach and quiet and we certainly found all three. the sunsets were spectacular and the sea was clean, warm and and the beach wide and mostly deserted. There are two similarly priced restaurants within walking distance from the apartment. We ate excellent food in both, including a local fish called Leppo and calamari and the best homemade fries and curry. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We took a local tuk-tuk to go to the market and it was fun and safe. A perfect escape!AnaSpain - 10Scored 10

Cancabcona is a small town, so it is best to keep your expectations accordingly. Apart from Palolem beach which is the biggest highlight of this place, you can go inside and visit places like Mallikarjuna Temple, a trip to Monkey Island, or boat ride to Butterfly island etc. Food on the beach was good but was not authentic goan. You can get a better price and more authentic food away from the beach towards the internal areas. You can get a vehicle on rent and drive around the interior reasons of Canacona.SaurabhIndia - 6.0Scored 6.0
The beach has become too crowded.
The beach has become too crowded. With the rising water levels shacks are built too close to the sea. I couldn't access my hotel from the beach at high tide/night. They need to ban straws in all shacks.

There were always sunbeds free, the bed was comfy and it was great to have the mosquito nets as well as a precaution, although we didn't have any trouble with them. The rooms are basic, but have AC which is a big bonus. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I did ask for a room overlooking the jungle as people moaned about the noise on the front, but we were given a room on the front. So glad we were, loved it , watching wildlife (especially the monkeys)and watching all the goings-on in Goa. Nanu and Sanket run a great guest house and shack on the beach, serving great food and drinks with lovely staff.
