The hotel is clean, staff are very helpful and friendly, the breakfast is superb, and the beach location is beautiful! We have used this as our Athens "airport hotel" on two occasions. The taxi fare is a little pricey, but there are really no close airport hotels that equal this one.

Right on the beach. Access to multiple restaurants including waterfront. Taxi stand outside makes it easy to get a cab at any time. Close enough to the airport for short cab ride but far enough away to limit noise.

We were welcomed with a smile and warm greetings. Informed us of the times food would be served, for evening and breakfast, asked if we needed anything, if so please ask. Helpful with directions to local restaurants. The hotel was super clean and fresh, our room had good view of the sea, clean, bed was comfortable.

Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out.
Quiet local area with a couple of places to eat out. Good food and a small local shop. The hotel is around 40 minutes to Athens town, taxi's are between 35 to 40€. 48€ if you book through the hotel. Local bus is hourly but to get to Athens you'd need to change and then get a train. We only went into Athens for one day via taxi and crammed everything in. If you book a return taxi it's cheaper. Athens Site-seeing, markets and local shops are fabulous. We walked around Mati but it's in the suburbs so no site-seeing. but our holiday was to relax and Mati hotel was perfect for that. We'd go again.

We liked the pool and beach view from our room.
We liked the pool and beach view from our room. We liked the outdoor dining option overlooking the beautiful Aegean Sea and good waiter service. We really liked our early morning swim in the lovely warm sea, on our last day in Greece before the long flight back to Australia. That was a highlight. I would recommend Mati as a relaxing option outside of the hectic city centre of Athens. I wished we’d stayed there longer.

Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
Mati is well located near the Athens Airport.
For arriving or leaving Greece a nice stop. Also if you want to avoid loosing days by travelling by boat or plane to all kind of holiday locations in Greece it is a nice alternative as the coast at Mati is nice and the views are the same as on many Greek Islands.
Use your money to rent a car and visit the Peloponesos and Athens at your doorstep.
Mati is a quiet and small village without many stores.

A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
A newly built hotel situated a very clam & quiet area.
Hotel breakfast staff are really nice.
The gym is bit small and around the hotel very few activities as there only 2-3 restaurant and only one small shop available. Nearest supermarket is about 50min walk.
Also, if you don’t have a car then getting to Athens is not easy by using public transport as you have to take a bus and then underground. The bus service is not good as they don’t seem to run according to a particular timetable. Most of the time we had to wait 30-50min by the bus stop and then bus journey to nearest underground another 50min.

From the airport, it takes 20-25 min.
From the airport, it takes 20-25 min. Cost by taxi is €40, which should taken under consideration when booking for justba stopover. However, from the airport to Athens is €45-50 and very close 4* hotels seems not to be if checking via Booking.com
Kristen, the owner, is lovely and very helpful. The property is new and spotless clean, one of the best we ever stayed at in Greece. Bedding and towels smelled fresh and clean. Fully equipped kitchen and amazing patio garden. Pity we were there only for few hours overnight to catch an early plane, so we didn't get to explore the area or the beach. One amazing restaurant nearby. Very quiet being in a residential area surrounded by fields but 12mins away from the beach. We'll definitely go back if we happen to be in that area again.
Mati Hotel is our favourite place to stay and we have been going there for some years now. On our annual trips to Greece. The staff are lovely, friendly and really helpful. The location is great, right on the coast with fantastic views over the bay of Marathon and Evia. It’s quiet and peaceful and there’s a beautiful large swimming pool. The decor is tasteful with some nice antique and art deco pieces. Very handy for the airport and the port of Rafina too, they will arrange taxi transfers for you. Excellent value for money.
Rooms are new, great beds, nice design, great view, nice pool and small private beach (couldn't be used due to weather...), Nice breakfast with selection for everyone. The team was super nice and willing to assist. Location was great and peaceful out of the city but not too far (we parked the car in a metro parking lot and took a metro from there to the center). Less than half hr drive from the airport so easy to reach flights on time. For families - connecting rooms are available which is great.
We stayed here twice, mainly because it's close to Athens airport AND Rafina port (€12 taxi from hotel to port, about €25 from hotel to airport if the driver uses the fare meter correctly), and also because it's not expensive.
Miami Hotel is not a luxury/ design hotel, it's a bit old, but it has a nice lobby and terrace, super friendly staff + comfortable rooms, and a decent breakfast was included. We would definitely stay here again!
So many things about this hotel to praise! We had a view of the sea from our room, with a small veranda to sit and enjoy watching and listening to the waves. The pool was just what beautiful with a great poolside menu. We ate at the restaurant and the meal was delicious with fresh fish that I swear they just caught for me. :-) The personnel were so nice and the hotel was so charming.
Breakfast area and food was great, the selection, the view, the staff were all great.
Reception staff was truly kind and even gave us a free upgrade to a sea side view rooms and really tried their best to accommodate us.
The entire hotel was very clean and common areas were beautiful.
I would recommend this hotel which was great to anyone traveling to the area.
Best service I’ve ever experienced. I felt so valued as a customer. The room service called me the evening before my check out if I need an early breakfast or anything else extra arrangements. I got even a complimentary dinner. This is not a five star hotel, this is a 7 star hotel what it comes to service.
Everything is amazing. Restaurant. Facilities. Service. Room. Receptionists Alexsandra and Mariana are super nice. I have been to Greece a lot of times every year this is a place definitely would like to come back
The room was comfortable and spacious for 3 of us. The staff were helpful and extremely pleasant. The breakfast was wonderful and the hotel is located about 20 mins. or so from the airport.
The check-in was super fast and the room comfortable. We stay only one night before departing from Athens. Also we really appreciate the courtesy at the room incluing a bottle of local wine.
The hotel was amazing, perfect location on the beach, with a wonderful staff, and a stunning view.
Perfect for families and for people who need to relax.
