Love Long Beach, hated signal hill motel….and you should know it’s no where near the beach! What a joke. Had to ask for two pillows and replace dirty bath towels. The 2 hard soap s for 2 people were less than 1/4” thin and about1.5” x 2” …tiny! No wash clothes. The big open closet had no hangers , not one! When I asked the stupid girl said” we don’t supply clothes hangers”!later a man stepped out and handed me about 6 little plastic hangers. They said if I need anything go ask the lady in room 7.But we knocked and knocked and she wasn’t answering.

The facilities were adequate for our needs.

The facilities were adequate for our needs. It was a little more expensive than what the facilities were like. The bathroom fan was very loud. We booked a shuttle to take and pick us up from our cruise. When I called the hotel to have them pick us up at 8 am they said that the shuttle did not start until 9 am. When I told them that we needed a ride before then, the woman who answered the phone argued with me, saying that we should have known because the information was on the paper given to us before we left. This conversation was not helpful. I had to be at the airport and needed to leave the city as soon as possible. We had to pay an Uber driver an extra 30 dollars to bring us back to the hotel. However, the hotel did say that they would refund 15 dollars from the shuttle fare. I will be contacting them for a refund.

the Extended Stay was filthy and poorly staffed. There was marijuana smoke in the hallways and the room telephone did not work. The kitchen was not sanitized, and we felt unsafe-will never stay there again and booking.com does little in representing you as a customer.

We were getting on a cruise and wanted to unwind ahead of it and get over jet lag (we were travelling from Australia). We stayed on the other end from downtown and the terminal. We had great access to the beach and the restaurants around here were great. Lots of little, what appeared to be mostly family owned. The neighbourhood was just that - a neighbourhood. Felt safe and lots of friendly people around. We did spend some time up near the cruise terminal with family who booked in a large well known hotel. It was way more sterile without the great restaurants and shops and certainly didn’t feel like a neighbourhood.

My room at Hyatt Centric the Pike at Long Beach was comfortable. The amenities offered were a work area, a flat-screen TV, a mini-fridge, and a large bathroom. The hotel's location is situated in a dynamic downtown area of Long Beach. This provided me with easy access to a variety of entertainment, dining, shopping, and cultural attractions. conveniently located. I especially liked that it is located near the Long Beach Convention Center and the Pike Outlets. The bed was comfortable and provided a restful sleep experience.

The room was clean, stylish and pretty comfortable, although the hotel set up is unconventional (think almost like apartment units but just hotel rooms). The shower's water pressure was absolutely amazing. The staff was nice, I didn't use the kitchen but they do have a shared one available for everyone. I did feel safe, even as a woman travelling alone, since there were codes on the front doors and multiple locks on the room door. Good walking distance from LB conference center and restaurants.

I traveled to enjoy the sea view from my room, but there was nothing to enjoy, the rooms were dirty, the bathroom had broken faucets and there was no view. I have photos to share. There is no sea even if you zoom in to the max! While my booking confirmation clearly mentioned the sea view and that was the only reason why I booked the hotel.

Great location in Arts District of East Village of Long Beach. Cute hotel with lots of extra fun touches. We enjoyed the cruiser bikes for a Sunday morning ride on nearby Long Beach bike path along the water. Also a really well-equipped common kitchen: we did not use, but it would be great for those staying longer.
