    Very quaint.

Very quaint. It is known as Little Switzerland and certainly lives up to that name. We ate at our hotel The Rock House and at The Village Inn. Also breakfast one morning at The Rising Sun (sister hotel of The Rock House.)Everything is within walking distance. All the shops are gift shops or food outlets. Nearest small supermarkets are up in Lynton, easily accessed by the Cliff Railway. There are no Banks, Post Office or ATMs in Lynmouth. Most pubs and hotels only accept card payments.

We first came here 46 years ago on honeymoon so it was great to come back again for our anniversary (we have visited several times over the years) and not much has changed. It is still beautiful, friendly, quiet and a place we will return to again.

A great place to relax and enjoy the area.A good selection of bars and restaurants but yo need to go into Linton for grocery or pharmacist. Dog friendly with plenty of parking. The tourist office bear the harbour will give good advice how to spend your time depending on your preferences and mobility. We plan to return in the late autumn.

Beautiful village right next to the sea and river that can be explored for miles through National trust walks. Also has an old cliff railway that allows easy excess to Lynton which is high above Lynmouth.

First class place to have a short break. Lots of walking around the area, good selection of shops, although the majority were closed due to staying in late November. Disappointed the railway wasn't working linking Linton.

Wonderful place to stay in an absolutely beautiful town. The building has so much character, and my room was perfect after a hike along the coast path - having a bath was the best surprise I could've hoped for! I was able to grab a drink from the bar and sit in on my windowsill looking out at the sea view. The restaurant wasn't open, which was a shame, but the manager very kindly arranged a table for me at their sister hotel, the Rock Inn, which was lovely. Fab location, tasty breakfast, comfy room - all you could ask for.

You can see the owners put in attention to the property to cater for newer technology such as a wireless Qi charger on their alarm clock with USB. The staff was very friendly and recommended us things to do and places to go. There’s a public lounge with a honor bar system at reasonable price (not overpriced pricing you usually get at hotels) where we spent our time together outside of our rooms. We really enjoyed our time The staff also re-arranged the lounge seeing we are a party of 6 especially for us.

The hotel is right in the centre of Lynmouth, the room was amazing, it was clean, comfortable, and really fun and interesting. Best family room we have ever had. We stayed in the 'quarterdeck ' which had a nautical theme, with bunk beds for our children, a cosy TV nook that they instantly claimed as well as a seating area, kitchenette, ensuite and comfy bed for us. The breakfast was delicious, and all the staff were really friendly and helpful.

The hotel is right on the sea front and rooms with sea view, which we had look out into the estuary. Great for people watching and watching the surfers. Breakfast was great...preordered the night before and evening meals also good. They make sure that residents are offered tables first. Given there are only 3 or 4 places to eat in the evening some with limited menus it's well worth prebooking

Lovely views along the coast and along the river from the windows and the terrace. Peaceful and quiet location. Friendly and helpful owner on site. Steep walk down through the pretty garden into Lynmouth, a couple of seats on the way back up for a rest. Easy access to lots of beautiful walks without even taking out the car.

A lovely apartment situated a (very gentle) stones throw from the harbour in Lynmouth! Open up the patio doors and you're sat next to the busy little harbour and can watch the world go by. A lovely place to base yourself to explore the stunning North Devon countryside.

Lovely hotel in every respect. Jason gave us lemonade and gave my friend a ride to her campsite, and also gave her a walking stick. Such a nice man. Oh, he also sent me off with croissants to eat on the trail.
