B and B is located in a cute town (Drymen) with close proximity to Glengoyne Distillery and Loch Lomond. Right next to a great restaurant - the Clachan, an old establishment (licensed 1734) with nice food, ambience, and friendly staff. Also next to an excellent bakery. Decor was nice.
Shandon Farmhouse is 1mile, 15-20 mins walk north of Drymen village. Access to the WHW is just 1 mile north of the farm. All rooms come with a flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities.

Great location right outside of Drymen. Easy walking distance to town for meals and drinks. Great recommendations from Colin, who greeted us on arrival. His feline staff (Tilda) was a real charmer, as was the sheep who peacefully grazed outside our window one afternoon.

Nice visit if get right accommodation.
Nice visit if get right accommodation. Unfortunately we stayed at the Buchanan Arms Hotel, and I have uploaded a bunch of photos of our supposedly SUPERIOR KING room - 2 singled beds pushed together.
The Mill House is lovely to go to for drink and meal. nearby hotel entertainment is on in local pubs.

I would say the hotel is a no frills establishment.
I would say the hotel is a no frills establishment. It's clean and comfortable , but in my view is tired and in need of updating. For me and has been mentioned many times by others is the poor breakfast on offer. In all the hotels I have stayed at I've never had to book for breakfast giving a specific time. Sadly one day we forgot to book so was turned away . Once at breakfast, you will constantly be asking for items to be refreshed , from the fruit juices to the bread for toast. The hotel seem to restrict what is put out. There is no proactivity from any of the staff, they have to be asked to do anything rather than act on something that we can all see need's doing. The hot food served was never hot as clearly it was already prepared and just waiting to be brought out. Overall our stay was ok , in a great location but is let down by what I have described above. You pay your monies and make your choice.

This quiet town is a short drive away from Balmaha where you can take the boat trip to Luss. Amazing views on the boat and both shores are very picturesque with small independent ice-cream parlours, coffee shops and other businesses.

Everything. The owners and staff couldn’t have been better.
Everything. The owners and staff couldn’t have been better. We were made to feel more than welcome. We were invited out along with the hotel staff and the local community for a walk along the west highland way up Conic hill on New Year’s Day. What a day! We couldn’t have enjoyed it more. I couldn’t recommend staying at the Drymen Inn highly enough. The food is excellent (we didn’t even eat anywhere else as it was so good and so reasonably priced), the entertainment on New Year’s Eve was fantastic, they made my wee dog Molly so welcome and quite simply couldn’t do enough for us. We have already booked for over New Year’s Eve next year and will very likely be back before that! Stuart, Jen and their staff were excellent hosts. Overall excellent in every way!!
The property is modern, beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. There were 2 of us staying. We were hiking the West Highland Way and we appreciated having a large double room each with modern ensuite facilities in each room. The living room and kitchen were large and well stocked.
The property is located just a few minutes walk from the centre of Drymen. Highly recommend the Clachan Inn for dinner- book ahead!
Cottage is very spacious and beautifully decorated, kitchen has everything you need, welcome pack was amazing and included wine and a welcome note amongst many other things, location is fab, very quiet around the cottage which was perfect and less than a mile to local village of Drymen which has pubs, hotels, restaurants, takes around 20 min which is a lovely walk. Would definately recommend.
We stayed in the garden pod that was compact, cute and modern. It had everything we needed; it was very clean, comfortable and an ideal base for our two day stay to explore Loch Lomond.
The village of Drymen is a picturesque little place with plenty of pubs, a couple of cafes and shops within a short walk.
Helpful, friendly hosts that made for an extremely enjoyable trip. Thank you so much.
This Inn is a brilliant stay in a beautiful location with fantastic friendly staff and amazing food in the restaurant, unfortunately I had to cut our stay short due to family illness (The Inn was very understanding), but am looking forward to planning another visit. This is now my goto location for walking in Scotland and I couldn't recommend this Inn highly enough, outstanding!
Location was great,close to shop,cafe,pubs.
Decor in apartment was lovely, kitchen had everything you would need for cooking a meal, also had a washing machine which was great.
Netflix and BBCiplayer etc all available on big TV in living room.
Beds were comfy and apartment had central heating with temperature control in living room.
Good size shower in main bathroom.
Lovely hotel, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Even recommending other places to eat in Drymen - we decided to eat in the bar of the hotel and were not disappointed!
Would definitely stay again, but I would opt for a larger room if staying for more than one night.
Their Sticky Toffee Pudding is to die for.
Great communication with the owner from the onset. The cottage is located in a very quiet area though commute to the main town of Drymen is less than a 5 min drive. There is additional opportunity to access Loch Lomond park which is only 20mins drive.
In all a great place to stay, clean with all needed facilities included.
Huge double room with views across a landscaped garden and the fields and hills beyond.
Cracking breakfast and some lovely pubs to eat at in Drymen which is just down the road.
Easy access to Loch Lomond for walking, water sports and wildlife.
My sons room was likewise clean and well appointed.
The property is lovely and perfectly located in the heart of Drymen for all local amenities. The owner Arwen made me very welcome which was so nice as I was staying on my own after a charity marathon, she was so helpful and friendly. I would definitely return here if staying at Loch Lomond.
Beautiful small town. Lovely coffee shop in town, Sqoosh, with wonderful homemade Victoria Sponge. Had dinner at the hotel which was very good and at Clachan Inn/pub which was wonderful. However they were very busy and the bar was noisy but staff worked hard and food was great.
Paradisiac homey place in a world-class national park: serene and restful surrounding; gorgeous village Drymen; walking trails; welcoming place; warm breakfast, etc etc. Carolyn is great, helpful, welcoming. We felt honored to have stayed with her family.
Very spacious 2 bedroom apartment. Loved our stay there. Close to Drymen so walked a couple of time to have tea out in the local restaurants. Close to all the areas of Loch Lomond to drive around. Would definitely stay again, the apartment was excellent
Chose this hotel because of its location near Loch Lomond Shores and Balloch. Food and cocktails were very good and as we were lucky enough to have good weather we made use of the pleasant outside area for these.
Very nice breakfast, cute location with a short walk to a local pub, tea room, and grocery shop. Bus stop to Loch Lomond right outside the hotel. Access to the pool, hot tub and sauna was also very nice.
Tommy is very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing and just right in terms of what we needed. Location is spot on perfect for us being near whw and the local pubs
Loved Drymen, loved having a great restaurant and pub so close. Awesome coffee shop with excellent baked goods and gifts close by, convenience store close by too.
Great space indoors and outdoors. Perfect for our group which included Dutch friends with their family.
They loved it and the beautiful Loch Lomond area.
