We ate at the hotel.
We ate at the hotel. The building is old which is a limiting factor despite the efforts of the staff. The highlight of our stay was a visit to Rosslyn Chapel but other than that there were none. Carlops is a very small hamlet with a population of about 80 people only. If you are travelling in East Lothian try and avoid B roads as they are pitted by potholes.WilliamUnited Kingdom - 10Scored 10

Easier to get to from Newcastle via A69/A74/A702 than using A1. Only 30 minutes from Edinburgh so easy to visit family and vice-versa. Ate at hotel both nights as food great and restaurant very accommodating.StanUnited Kingdom
