Longji Holiday Hotel, hotel in Longsheng

Only a 15-minute walk from Longsheng Rice Terrace, the Holiday Hotel features guest rooms with beautiful views and free Wi-Fi. It has a tour desk with car rentals and arranges hiking for explorers.

May is a friendly host and her cooking is great - we ordered chicken and bamboo rice for lunch - and they were freshly prepared and delicious. We stayed there for 1 night and ate lunch, dinner and the next morning breakfast. All were prepared on the spot and delicious. The room is spacious, comfortable and clean. There is a balcony and we can get the view of the rice terraces. May speaks English, so no worries for those who doesn't speak Mandarin. As I came with a senior (who can't do much climbing and was experiencing difficulty), she patiently helped to guide her up to the hotel (and the next morning down to the car park). Thanks May for the help! It was definitely a value for money stay!

Baike Boutique Hotel, hotel in Longsheng

Baike Boutique Hotel is located in Longji Rice Terraces and offers a restaurant. Most of its rooms offer priavte balcony with stunning terrace views.

The Baike hotel immediately restored us! Our hosts, Jason and his wife, were so friendly & accommodating. We were upgraded to a family suite and the room was beautifully decorated, spacious, with a stunning view of the rice terraces from window & balcony. Although unseen bc of the forest growth, the sound of the waterfall and stream below was so soothing throughout our stay. The beds & AC were comfortable, and dinner with local specialty bamboo rice overlooking the terraces was special. It's quiet bc cars are not allowed in the vicinity - so relaxing after city visits. Enjoyed hikes to Longji terraces and villages from there, even some great local shopping up the street. Only wish we stayed another night or two and would def come back!

Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night.

Beautiful, underrated, I should have stayed one more night. It was very easy to get around and the entire village at Ping'an has English and Chinese signage all on farming/hiking trails. I can't believe how empty the village is and part of me is concerned that not enough tourists are visiting even though I loved the serenity of it. Many stores/hotels were empty or closed, perhaps due to COVID-19.

We loved the Jinkeng terraces which you can view from Tiantou Zhai Village. They were superb and the walks to get there and back were very pleasant not only for the scenery but for the local life as well. It was very interesting to observe the rice farmers at work and also meet some of the local Yao people and try some traditional dishes such as bamboo rice. Even though we visited after the harvest, they were quite a sight to behold and I can only imagine how beautiful they must be at their fullest in summer or autumn at harvest time. We were there for two nights, but one full day and we thought that was enough, though you could stay a second day if you wanted to visit the terraces by Ping'an Village. The kids loved it though I would not recommend it to families with very young kids as there is quite a bit of climbing involved, sometimes following uneven steps and narrow passageways at a considerable height.

The rice fields scenic area is very relaxing and tranquil.

The rice fields scenic area is very relaxing and tranquil. We spend 3 days here and it was perfect for relaxing and taking a break from the cities. There are lovely walks you can do, as well as several view points to visit. One thing to note is that if you visit Longsheng rice fields you will need to pay entry since it is a scenic area. The hotel is located within the scenic area.

I took the cable car both directions, but then I walked up and down (different routes) . . all on the same day. Beautiful photos. I recommend you "dress up" in the traditional outfits at the top of the cable car, and have photos taken. If walking, follow the route for the "Golden Buddha" lookout. There are signposts almost everywhere along the route. The walk down to DaZhai is easy and picturesque.

    Beautiful scenery.

Beautiful scenery. I did quite a lot of hiking during my time in the rice terraces and found the trails are not well marked and the tourist maps are not accurate. However, the local people are very friendly and will show you the correct trail to take.

This is probably my first time giving a 10-Rating. The hosts, Jason and his wife have been extremely friendly, helpful and in general very attentive to make it a throughout great stay. The hotel is just beautiful with it's wooden details and of course the rooms view is incredible. Even the food seemed to be better here, than in the surrounding restaurants. Apart from the hotel it's a super nice area with little villages between the rice terraces. Also great for day-hikes.

It is based a couple minutes (5min tops) by foot out of the old town of PingAn town, which did not bother us at all though because we came with heavy luggage and so we were able to drive up to the hotel with the car and still having the perfect hiking distance up to the view points. The rooms are really generously large and comfortable with a nice view from the balcony. The home cooked dinner was delicious and the staff overall was very thoughtful and accommodating.

Amazing amazing amazing hospitality, friendly and helpful staff! Also views were lovely from the balcony and dining terrace. this is a more simple and local place, has cottage feeling to it, whereas there are these modern looking scandi style hotels with bathtubs, but there was something down to earth in this one. Balconies with views seem to be the one with twin beds, and as we had booked a double but it was a low season, we changed to twin beds to have the view.

Very nice place, beautiful location and wonderful service. Best view to the terraces is near and many routes for walk and hiking too. Cafe that belongs to hotel is nice too, you don't need to have breakfast and dinner anywhere else. Delicious food, good coffee and other drinks are here. Helen can pick you up from the bus station, just ask if you need, but walk up there is also nice if you feel yourself enough strong and have comfortable backpacks for baggage.

The hotel itself can be called eco-friendly, as everything is quite minimalistic here. The view is really great, and the surroundings are absolutely quiet. You can see bright stars at night, which is especially surprising after crowded Chinese cities. The owner was kind enough to share with us some valuable advices about the best observation points and even helped us to warm up our food using his wok.

The staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. Even though I do not speak Chinese they answered all questions and offered assistance using WeChat. They helped with requests like renting bikes and even brought us local snacks in the evening. The style of the hotel is very cool and they have a nice rooftop patio for relaxing, as well as a washing machine that we much needed for laundry.

There were some maintenance issues and these were resolved very quickly. Xin yi and Li, very helpful and willing to be adaptable to our needs where possible, the location is stunning and the hotel is very quiet. The pool is mountain stream fed and cold even in summer, but refreshing after a day's hiking in the amazing scenery. On the whole we would go back again.

We stayed at the Green Forest Lodge for 3 nights. Our purpose of this trip was to hike. It’s in a great location for people wanting to see the sunrise over the Longji terraces. It’s also a great starting location for the hike to Ping’an terraces. From here, the hike to the Golden Buddha peak is easily accessible and starts through a village.

Easy and very helpful communication with the owner Liao Yanmei who gave advice about activities, directions, drove us, guided us, cooked for us, so we could make the most of it during three days. We learnt a lot from her, thank you, Mei!

Moreover, the location is perfect, nice breakfast, very cozy and beautiful room with a great view from the balcony. The hotel is in the rice fields which makes it very easy to explore from the hotel.

The view alone is worth the price, absolutely breathtaking. The service is also excellent, the road to the hotel was blocked by a landslide, but the hotel management sent us out a driver to pick us up. I highly recommend staying At Longji One. Food was great, and they were able to accommodate a vegan diet.
