Set on Portovenere's seafront, this hotel features a terrace overlooking the small port and Palmaria Island. Set in a 17th-century monastery, it is a few steps from the town center.

The staff, service, the breakfast, and the bar were amazing. The location and view were the reasons we chose this hotel, which was way beyond our normal price range. My husband really enjoyed being able to order eggs and American coffee for breakfast, after 3 days of espresso and pastry.
The Paradiso Hotel is located right on the Gulf of Portovenere with the view of the Palmaria Island and the Apuan Alps, which frame this picturesque locality.

The location is EXCELLENT. Beautiful views of the harbor. Sweet that we arrived and had some small breakfast things and juice and water. This was very welcome. The balcony is very cute but would benefit from a chair and table. Bathroom was very clean and the shower had great water pressure. Bedding was very clean too. There was a small cupboard to hang things in but nowhere to hang wet towels or stuff like that.
Casa Lorenza is located in Portovenere, just 10 miles from Castello San Giorgio and 8.4 miles from Technical Naval Museum.

This was our first time visiting Porto Venere. The apt was more than we expected.
We were only there for 1 night but next time we will stay longer. The apt was very large, bed and linens very comfortable. For us, who love the feel of ancient cities, with the comfort of modernization it was perfect.
Marco is a charming man. We would have like the opportunity to become better acquainted.
The only thing I need to warn travelers about are the stairs. You will be in a ancient walled city. Old stone streets and large stone stairs.
The perfect place to stay while visiting Cinqua Terra especially by sea as the ferry is right here at the dock.

I LOVE Portovenere. This was my second time there - I visited Cinque Terre in 2010, and arrived in Portovenere on the ferry. After only an hour, I fell in love. When my husband and I planned our trip this year, I knew I wanted to share this special place with him. He now loves it as much as I do. It has all the beauty, culture, and history of Cinque Terre, with more open waterfront and many fewer tourists. It is relaxed and out-of-the-way and inviting. We had three wonderful dinners, all featuring local seafood. All the restaurants have outdoor seating and many are dog-friendly. The Monday morning market was a fun surprise. It is easy to get to Cinque Terre on the ferry, and to La Spezia by bus or taxi, and from there you can catch the train to Cinque Terre and other sites up and down the coast. There is plenty to see and do in town - the church and castle, the beach, the wharf, the shops, classes in making your own pesto, and much more we didn't have time to discover. I would go back tomorrow if I could!

My initial review was mistakenly for a previous B.Com property in Rumaggiore. Apologies. Staying in too many B.Coms ! All in a sequence.
La Calata was the best we stayed in all trip. Really excellent. Friendly caring host. Met us in the street to help get the right door. Fantastic place. Lovely views. We’d stay again - any day. The facilities and comfort couldn’t be beaten.

It's in a beautiful setting but, to visit Cinque Terre, you'd be better off somewhere like Levanto or in one of the villages inland, which are very quiet but lovely (and a quarter of the cost!) Even in late September and some awful weather, Porto Venere is packed with tourists and people from cruise ships so it's harder to enjoy it.

The Grand Hotel did not disappoint.
The Grand Hotel did not disappoint. From the moment you walk in you feel genuinely welcomed, wonderful staff, nothing is ever a problem. The view from our room was delightful, looking across the water to the beautiful old buildings of Portovenere. The breakfast was incredible, so many choices. The terrace was a lovely area to spend time for a drink as you take in some sun and the view or for dinner under the stars. We stayed 4 days and I was not ready to leave, highly recommend.

Place is a nice resort with views over looking island and La Spezia bay. Except at the departure port for Cinque Terre boat, there are not too much crowd.

Fine restaurant & bars.

You can relax there after hectic / epic day visit in the Cinque Terre!

This is my favourite new region in Italy!!
This is my favourite new region in Italy!! Captivating views around each corner of the coastline, breathtaking rock formations and boats zooming to and from. Soothing to sit amongst the coastal life. The villages felt very authentic and less touristic than other places that are this beautiful. Can’t wait to go back :)
The location is absolutely perfect - a 200 meter walk to the center of portovenere...shops, restaurants, etc. The property is stunning with beautiful views, gorgeous plants and flowers. Beppe and Rosella (the property owners) are absolutely wonderful - Rosella cooks homemade breakfasts every morning and we sat and chatted with Beppe while he made us coffee and cappuccino - they are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make their guests fell comfortable and satisfied, which we were! We would absolutely go back to stay with them!
Really nice and reasonably priced hotel for the service we got. The rooms were clean, spacious and tidy. Breakfast was good with a mixture of bread, focaccia, croissant, Italian hams, etc. The hotel has a really nice garden with an amazing view of the whole town, surrounding island, sea, etc. We had breakfast outdoors in that garden while appreciating the view!
Great location, on a lovely marina. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and a small supermarket. The room was cosy, clean and secure. Secure parking was also available with plenty of spaces.
The bus stopped frequently at the top of the road so it was easy to hop on and go to Portovenere or La Spezia.
The staff were super helpful.
Very beautiful room in a castle overlooking Portovenere harbour. The room itself was basic, clean and comfortable but it's the charm of climbing up through narrow alleyways with spectacular views along the way to the room, superb! A previous review said the owners were cute but that is an understatement, they are truly adorable!!
First off you cannot beat this location . While the rest of the beach going community was either sitting in traffic or struggling to find parking , we would wake up every morning and take our 30 second stroll straight to the beach . The home has beautiful classic old Italy charm , large ceilings and a beautiful outdoor deck
The staff, service, the breakfast, and the bar were amazing. The location and view were the reasons we chose this hotel, which was way beyond our normal price range. My husband really enjoyed being able to order eggs and American coffee for breakfast, after 3 days of espresso and pastry.
Excellent location, right in the center of Porto Venere. Modern clean room and bathroom.
We really appreciated being accompanied from the parking to the hotel and, after the check-out, back to the parking.
Lovely breakfast, Thank you for the vegan option, appreciated it!
Colonna 24 is a superbly well located property in the heart of Portovenere, that is extremely comfortable, well run, and perfect for a stay of one to several days. Key to this is Giovanni, a friendly, reliable, and professional manager, who makes everything run smoothly.
The hotel had a gorgeous view of the town. Martina was a wonderful host and helped us with dinner recommendations and booking a taxi for our departure. Breakfast on the patio was lovely. Rooms were comfortable and clean. I would highly recommend this little gem.
Very well situated in the heart of Portovenere. Nice little house that we had to ourselves. We were there only for an overnight stay so we didn't use all of the facilities provided but it would be a good choice for a family or for a longer stay
Silvano was incredibly welcoming, the breakfast was a decadent array of delicious food, and the view was gorgeous. The room couldn't have been cleaner. It made our visit to Portovenere all the more special.
Great location on the best beach in Portovenere with a short walk into central town. A small but comfortable and useable apartment with large outdoor entertaining areas. Really enjoyed our stay here!
this apartment was charming, with modern appliances, very clean & spacious. the terra e was a bonus & view was spectacular. this will be our mothership in the Ligurian area going forward.
A modern hotel equipped with everything you need for a short stay. Morning with a beautiful view, friendly staff. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was very tasty.
nice view from balcony into the bay, very friendly service, breakfast very good (for italy), parking in front of hotel possible(to pay), pool, spacious room
Very nice hotel on the waterfront with excellent restaurant with reasonable prices. Rooms are above average in size with beautiful views of the harbor.
