The birthplace of American independence, Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn. The name of the city translates to City of Brotherly Love and the city itself is a vibrant mix of history, art and culture.

We were there for a big family wedding to a place where we have lived before years ago. The kids loved the Franklin Institute all day. Street parking was available during the days we were there and we parked in a lot overnight. We didn't walk places, our original plan, staying in Chinatown near the convention center, because of the rain. We happened on the Broad Street Run on Sunday am and had a great time cheering all the runners. Philadelphia is a wonderful place to visit any time, with the historic district, Fairmount Park, the Art Museum and many other museums in center city, and so many places to visit for everyone.robinson - 6.0Scored 6.0

Strangely, we did not feel the brotherly love among the people who live there. In general, they were quite indifferent to visitors, almost unfriendly. I’ve stayed there several times and each time I could have stayed longer. It was peaceful and quiet. I would recommend more cookware and larger cookware as in pots and pans. Dun worry of foods, u can go to reading terminal market to get your food, it is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. I had 5 nights stay in the hotel, room is clean, comfortable bed and pillows.
