1. Breakfast was so boring, cold and tasteless, in this price we enjoyed with full of variety at many other hotels in the world. My time with family and money was wasted there.
2. Each time I had to go down to get the hot water from dispenser for my kid's milk, they are reluctant to provide kettle in the room.
3. Twice had issues with my Room cleaning, One entire day during my Stay from 17 till 22 Apr was not cleaned and one day till 3PM was not made up so I reminded them while going out so they made it. Upon complaining at the Front desk at night, staff was not aware and said I am not sure why not done. They way she was talking was not well or still trying to justify and said no staff can come now or come to collect the garbage or cleaning. They only given me bedsheets and towels to do yourself. I didnt like the way she talked. However, she raised message for the next morning for my Room No. 2106.
4. First hotel I stayed where for the lifts you had to wait 10-15 minutes to go up or coming down. They need to invest on such thing.

The location of the hotel was very good, you can reach everywhere easily. Times Square, Central Park, shopping stores, everything was at my fingertips. We were able to walk around very easily, which was very good for us. The elevator moves very well even though it is on the 18th floor, they were able to organize it well. Sometimes it gets busy but there is nothing to do about it. =)

Plenty of things to do. Be prepared to have good walking shoes !
Take an itinerary before you go as there is so much to see & do.
Cannabis now legalised which we didn’t like as it smelt so strong when walking about.
We found some people were quite rude especially venues like cafes, coffee shops & the airport.
Hotel staff all pleasant though.

I always enjoy New York.
I always enjoy New York. I don't come as often as I did when I was growing up, but its always a pleasure. Nothing like grabbing a New York slice! It's easy to get around, if it were warm enough I would've walked everywhere, but I just did ride shares.

All of the scaffolding makes a trip now very disappointing from the stand point of aesthetics in the city. It had been a number of years since I had been there and that was not the issue it now is.

We felt safe walking about the City and there was a nice atmosphere. Food and drinks can be quite expensive but we were always able to get reasonably priced food. We loved the open spaces like the Hi Line park and little Island park and loved walking the Brooklyn bridge from the Brooklyn side. Brooklyn had a great vibe and was clean and modern and we got a great view of the Manhatton skyline when we walked over the bridge. Roosevelt Iskand is also worth exploring with the Lighthouse and sculptors of Nellie Bly. New York is easy to navigate on foot and also easy to use the subway. Public transport is not expensive and the public transport from the airports is great and easy to navigate.
Small hotel with all of the basic amenities in a fantastic location and very friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are very small, but well planned out and the bed was very comfortable. It is walking distance to Times Square, the Metro and Penn station. we went for a long weekend to enjoy NYC, and did not have to take uber/lyft even once to get around anywhere in Manhattan. This is the place to stay if you are looking for a small, friendly, comfortable place to stay near Times Square, without the luxuries of larger hotels.
Midtown of Manhattan, center of New York so very easy to get to either downtown (one world trade building, Wall Street, china town) or uptown (Empire State building, Times Square, Central Park). And of course subways or restaurants are at every corner.
Very nice and friendly staff.
The street is full of flowers and plants business so it is very clean and fresh. It is really the highlight of this hotel.
Parking for free (not at the same street) but the hotel will cover it.
Quiet compare with the other surrounding streets.
The location was perfect. Right opposite Byrant Park which has a wonderful Christmas market at this time of the year. I went to New York to run the New York City Marathon the bus taking me to start of the marathon was right outside the hotel. It couldn’t be more perfect. The bed was so comfortable it was unbelievable. The staff were professional and courteous. There’s a wonderful lounge and outdoor terrace on the sixth floor. All in all my stay in the hotel in the center of New York, was like a dream. It was magical.
The location was perfect it was right near times Square and a lot of great places for sightseeing and shopping. We went to see Hadestown and it was only a 10 minute walk to the Walter-Kerr Theatre. The bathroom was spacious and clean. It looked recently remodeled but unfortunately that just made how awful the rest of the room was stand out even more. They offered storage for bags and items as we arrived before our check out time which allowed us to enjoy the city without carrying our suitcases around.
The best bed I've ever slept in (reclining bed, hello!) and good room facilities - good shower and liked the mood lighting behind the TV that you can change colour. For me, the location is perfect - easy walk to Times Square and nearby Penn Station makes getting to/from Newark, and around the city easy. The staff were all super friendly and helpful too! Overall would definitely stay again as for Manhattan, the location and quality of the room make this hotel definite good value in this expensive city.
You can’t deny the location is excellent if you want to be central and close to Times Square and all it’s activity. There are 100’s of restaurants within a few minutes of the hotel and the subway is just a short walk if you’re looking for adventure and being whisked around the city efficiently and cheaply.
Also within the hotel there are many original art deco features which is always nice to see if you like that kind of thing.
The location of the hotel was perfect, just a block away from 5th Avenue and within walking distance to Central Park, Times Square, Grand Central, and Bryant Park.
The room was clean and comfortable, surprisingly spacious for New York City standards. The staff members were polite and the food at the hotel restaurant was great.
Overall, we had an amazing experience and would definitely stay here again!
The staff were friendly & checked us in fast. The room was clean & organized. My Wife & i stayed on the 11’s floor & had a great view of the city. What we really liked was that the hotel was really close to time square & that there were two parking garages across the street, so we didn’t have to worry about parking.Parking was also very cheap in my opinion, 50$ for 24 hours.
The location was great - 5min away from Central Park and 10min away from Times Square!
The room was amazing - so big and comfortable.
The staff was very kind and friendly - the cleanliness was perfect, they change the towels every day!
Highly recommend!
It was our first time in New York but for sure this was the best option for hotel!
Thanks a lot to the staff!
Location is excellent for Manhattan trip. In a minute you are in Times Square and you can reach everywhere by subway. There are too many good food facilities and restaurants around the hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room is clean. Woodbury outlet that you should go. Central station is in walking distance, 8-10 minutes.
Really friendly, helpful, accommodating staff. If you have to be near Times Square but don't want to be right in the thick of it, the location is perfect and very walkable. Lobby/bar/restaurant area was convenient and fun, the room was clean and comfortable. I had a "city view" room and it really delivered.
This is not a cheap hotel and yet they do not offer any breakfast with the price. The hotel is in a great location to Grand Central station which made it very easy to take the train into the city. The Dylan is also in close proximity to the Theater district, Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue.
The locations is excellent close to Times Square, as well as all the facilities in the hotel! Room was nice and clean very conviene to have a kitchen! The breakfast is awesome succeeded my expectations!!! Would stay again definitively it is the best I had experienced in New York Manhattan!
Being one of the lower priced good location hotels
it does fulfill that
it is still a pricey stay because of the taxes and it is New York City
being that the time spent in the room is minimal so we are paying for location location.
The size of the rooms are tiny and the name says it
Got the city view, upper floor with nice view of the ESB. Small room but typical of manhattan the few times i've stayed. This is one of those little midtown hotels, very narrow and tall-- only 4 rooms per floor i think. It was really cheap at the time (March 2021)
This is my second time staying at Arlo Midtown and it's just the best hotel! Staff are friendly and accommodating, rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and the value in New York City is unmatched. Location is extremely central for a quick trip.
Relative cheap for New York.
Location is good can walk to a lot of tourist spots such as Times Square, Broadway, parks and subway very easy to access.
Rooms are tiny but you’re not in New York to sit in your room.
Staff was very friendly. The hotel is located close to Times Square and Madison Square Garden and is great if you want to explore Manhattan. The Gym is also very well equipped! We really enjoyed the stay.
Great service. Although can’t call it cheap, but regarding New York prices, good value for money. Close to subway and can reach Times Square, Barclays Center and JFK with just one ride.
One of the cheapest hotels we could find for 1 night, really close to Times Square and it was a very good value for money compared to other hotels in Manhattan.
