The staff are hands down incredible first and foremost. The food was the best I had in 8 days in Kerala. The design, attention to detail and antiques across the property are incredible and makes this feel like a home, not a hotel. The pool, gardens and view are top class. I also had private yoga class each morning that was great.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. The room itself was excellent - clean and well-maintained. The bathroom was spotless, which is always a big plus for me. The air conditioning worked perfectly, keeping the room nice and cool during my stay.
A big perk for me was the on-site car parking. It was convenient and secure, which is important when traveling by car.
The staff was fantastic. They were very helpful and accommodating throughout my stay. I would definitely describe them as cooperative and friendly.
Overall, I had a great experience at this hotel and would highly recommend it to others.

The one positive from Haven was the staff that ran breakfast were friendly, and happy to try and help. A shame they were constrained by the environment within which they were working.

Alleppey feels more of a jumping off point for back-water...
Alleppey feels more of a jumping off point for back-water tours, rather than anything of note in and of itself. The main beach is only really good for going for a stroll to watch the (always cloudy) sunset - it's not setup for daytime relaxation. Stepping into the town, there are very few good places to eat, and as a Westerner the lack of being able to sit somewhere with an alcoholic drink was rather strange (there are liquor stores you can buy drink from for consumption in private). We stayed as a base for five nights - two, or maximum three would have sufficed.

The beach was nice, Boathouse that we took was that good, we took the day trip boat food was not within the expectation was very disappointed as the cook was from norther instead of local cook. Therefore we had only 2 kerala dishes vegetable and friend wish other menu was Dhal, rice , chapati and raita, mix veg. The starting point of boathouse was very disappointing where we saw kids diapers , and other plastic garbage floating around. Hope they can maintain the clearness and also ensure local food is serve on the boathouse. Otherwise the journey was beautiful we took a smaller boat to visit the local houses more closer.

A nice place to visit just for a day.
A nice place to visit just for a day. We opted for Shikara boats, which worked perfectly. Some people may prefer to spend their nights in a house boat, although, It may be quite boring for such long hours in still water.
The Alleppey beach is a must visit. A lot of people also visit Marari beach, however, I personally prefer the Alleppey beach since its much cleaner.
Must try - Seafood (although I am a Vegetarian, so cannot comment on that).
Most likely, one may visit this place only once and there are very less things to do here. So planning the trip for 1 or 1.5 days is more than enough.

We did the Charlotte Cruise Boat at Alleppy as a couple for one night. The check in was better than most hotels we visited in India! Our host introduced us to the boat’s captain and chef! We were greeted with fresh coconut water and the check in was smooth. The boat was wonderful! Just like a hotel setting but on water. The views were spectacular and food was delicious! We got to pick our own fish from a local fisherman and got to go on a smaller canal boat for an hour whilst the sunset and see the narrower parts of the backwaters. The only drawback is we were not informed of the additional cost of this which was RS1000 but it was worth it!

Alleppey is probably the nicest town along this bit of the coast, its noticeably cleaner and friendlier than other more touristy places. The beach front is slightly spoiled visually by the new raised coast highway being built but once you've got used to the structure you sort of forget it and get on with other things. The town is going through a period of change and will hopefully get better once many of the old historic buildings have been renovated and put to new uses. The town has clearly suffered from changes in industry but there is a move by the town council to breathe new life into the region and the investment will be worth it and make Alleppey great again!

Only stayed here for one night, as we were planning to take the government tourist ferry from Alleppey to Kollam. However we were told that the ferry stopped running over 2 years ago and their website has not been updated to reflect this.
Absolutely the best place to stay in Alleppey. The location is perfect very close to the beach and walking distance to town. There are two rooms, one upstairs with a balcony and one downstairs with a patio. The rooms are spacious and clean and private with awesome wifi and hot water. Best of all the manager Jibhu who is extremely kind and helpful and can honestly not be anymore helpful with everything. He can organise great backwater trips cheaper than anyone in town. Jibhu is an absolute gem. You will not be disappointed.
I had a wonderful experience/ stay at the hotel.. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and considerate... The night staff (Jinu) was was really great and helpful.. I had a personal issue with my mobile and he tried his best in supporting and assisting me... I would like to recommend this hotel to everyone who would prefer a safe and comfortable stay in alleppey town.
The room was clean, with adequate amenities and spacious.
The food was really great and tasty...
The staff was exceptional.. helpful and caring...
Arsha and Biju, the owners, were so welcoming and so friendly and we had lots of good chats with them! Biju showed us around the town and to some shops. they helped us organise tuk tuks and a boat tour of the backwaters the evening we arrived for the next morning and gave us good recommendations for eating out. The property is beautiful and very clean and beds are comfortable. I would recommend to anyone staying in Alleppey and would definitely stay again! Thank you Arsha and Biju for enriching our stay in Alleppey!
A wonderful homestay property with a highly recommended host (couple). They did everything they could to make us comfortable and well served. The property itself is perched on the banks of the river with very nice touches. I was presently surprised to see the kayaks and we did enjoy a short outing on a beautiful sunset evening. Listening to the bird songs in the morning was totally worth it, and so was watching some lazy cruising boats on a not so busy water channel (thankfully).
The experience on Venice Premium Houseboat is truly memorable. It was so relaxing and soothing that you can fully enjoy the beauty of Kerala Backwaters. The boating experience was so great that all the staffs are very helpful and the food here is exotic. If you are looking for a premium houseboat experience in Alleppey, then definitely go for Venice premium houseboats. They will provide the best luxury experience on board. Highly recommending !
I was pleasantly surprised at this place. I wonder why the reviews are not better than they are? Can't really knock it for the price and the fact breakfast included. I think this hotel was a great stay and also close to an amazing Allepey Beach which has amazing waters. Staff were helpful and very flexible with keeping luggage/later checkout etc which I thought was very helpful as Ive stayed at many places which are the complete opposite.
Home away home, best place to stay with family
we taken rooms in both 1st floor and groundfloor
Both rooms and bathrooms are neat and clean
Wifi available, hotwater available, good air-conditioning also, they dn't serve food but they can order food from outside hotels, swiggy and zomato also working even walking distance also hotels avilable for food, main attraction beach is just 2min walkable
Lovely hotel with a wonderful restaurant.
I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Kerala. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever.
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, nice location and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Allepey,Kerala.
We really liked being away from the noise of Allappey and overlooking the waters, it was very tranquil. The hotel is on an island so you have to take a little boat across which was different and added to the magic of the place. The staff were lovely and friendly and very helpful with onward travel arrangements. The food was incredibly delicious!
Staff was very hospitable - they helped arrange transportation for our destination after checkout. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast. We had some trouble locating the hotel but they were gracious enough to send someone on a scooter and guide us through the correct road for a car to enter.
It is nice cozy place near to all tourist attractions in Alleppey. I felt like a home away from home with all required amenities. Since the property is center of the location, close to beach and many restaurants around. Good for couple and families.
Jibu is great guy, very helpful - there's no impossible things for him :) our stay in Alleppey was better thanks to his tips.
Canoeing trip around backwaters was really nice

Great property to have a home stay experience in Alleppey. The territory of the property (garden) is very beautiful. Its also very peaceful there. The room had great bed, AC and a fan- very comfortable! Would stay there again.
The room was extraordinary 👌. Mainly the staffs Hari,Aishwarya & Sajith were very helpful. The foods are very delicious 😋. The room is very clean and neat. The area is also good. One of the best Hotel in Alleppey.....
