We loved our time at Estero Inn. The location is perfect along the waterfront, there are lots of nice eateries and shops nearby and you can rent boats or kayaks next door.
The staff are lovely, really friendly people, and the rooms are fantastic. The wildlife is spectacular too - in two days we spotted sea otters, sea lions, ospreys, divers and grebes and a bald eagle.
There's so much to explore in the local area. If you like wildlife, you can walk down to the boardwalk trail or drive to the elephant seal viewing point north of San Simeon. Kayaking on the bay is recommended, and good value.

Loved Morro Bay, but wish we'd had more time to visit other places around the area. Easy walk to shops and restaurants on main street. We especially liked Kickers (Tabitha was awesome), The Great American Fish Company, and Blue Sky Bistro. This was our first trip to the area, but it won't be our last.

Morro Bay is a charming small oceanside town.
Morro Bay is a charming small oceanside town. It is quiet, at least in February when we visited. The sea lions and otters are fun to watch and listen to. There are lots of restaurants and bars to chose from for going out. We loved the wine and beer choices at The Savory Palette. There is live music but not on the night we were there.

We were surprised by the small town.
We were surprised by the small town. Great places to eat and buy souvenirs, but best of all was seeing the otters and their cubs up close. We loved it! There were also some harbor seals on the platforms. Guaranteed fun for animal lovers. We also took a walk to Morro Rock and watched the sandbanks and the waves breaking on the rocks. It was great! We had breakfast at Frankie and Lola's Front Street Cafe. We had lunch at Tognazzinis, dinner at The House of Juju and beer at Three Stacks and a Rock Brewing Company.
Absolutely beautiful place to stay in Morro Bay! Great location within walking distance of restaurants and the rock! Rooms were spacious and fantastic, better than many of the other hotels we stayed in on our trip for 2-3 times the price! Microwave, fridge, large TV, great bathroom and plenty of room for our luggage. Easy parking right by the room. Staff were friendly and very easy check-in/out process! We will definitely be recommending Morro Bay and Harbour House Inn to others! Thank you :)
The front desk was attentive and friendly. My room faced the water, and had a lovely view of the sunset and Morro Rock. My bed and blankets were incredibly comfy, and the facility was very clean. They also have way more cable channels than most motels. The room was very well-insulated, which, on those cold, Morro Bay days and nights, was much appreciated. And the price was fantastic -- I've stayed all over Morro Bay, and this place was by far the best bang for the buck I've encountered.
Actually, we got a ticket for 2 cinnamon rolls at the cafe in front of the hotel. The cafe was a cozy one with tables inside and in front. While a bit busy, I was greeted with a friendly smile and welcome. After giving her the card, I was given a basket with 2 HUGE rolls, as big as my hand, straight out of the oven with the icing a sweet messy blanket on top. I inhaled one with a very good coffee - the best way to start a warm sunny day at Morro Bay
Great hotel. Met our needs perfectly. I was road tripping in California with my 2 grown up children and we all rated this hotel as the best hotel we stayed in (out of 6 in total).
Morro Bay is great little town and we were all disappointed it was only a one night stop.
Would recommend this hotel!!
I don't think there was a breakfast, but I didn't care, it was a super affordable weekend stay in Morro Bay, California, literally half the price of other places, it was worth driving to and from the harbor for the money I saved.
Hotel is a 2 minute walk from the beachfront stores, restaurants. 5 minute drive from Morro Rock beach. The whole area, including the beach are pet friendly. Weather was perfect. Very quiet and nice at night as well.

Very clean and tidy, well equipped, newly refurbed with nice bathroom facilities. Very comfy bed and pillows with good quality bedding.
Fantastic location for Morro Bay and Pacific coastal Highway.
Great location to downtown Morro Bay. Very comfortable king bed for a great nights sleep! Quiet & exceptionally clean. We’ve stayed a several hotels nearby but will definitely stay here again!
This is the second time I’ve stayed at this hotel and would recommend it to anybody staying in Morro Bay. Very comfortable rooms and the staff go out of their way to help in any way they can.
Hotel was really nice. We liked the patio area. King room was pretty spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. I would go back again. Hotel was pet friendly.
The room was incredibly clean and comfortable, considered the very low price we paid. Overall, this hotel was the perfect place for a one-night stop of a journey on the road.
The staff at the hotel was very friendly, the room was clean and super close to parking and in a classic motel style. Perfect for an overnight stay when visiting Morro Bay
Convenient location (by the way, Morro Bay is quite a small village, so in any case it is difficult to stay far from main streets and the riverside
Parking availability
