The view of the upper rooms was just insane. In general the rooms were very tastefully decorated. On top it was very quiet.

Location fantastic in a wonderful beach. Food offering very poor and inconsistent (on various days: no coffee available; no fresh fruit; unable to make an omelette although on menu etc). This is a relatively new hotel Posada but they don’t seem to understand basic service needs. Room was fine and clean. Staff trying but management lacks experience.

Such a unique space that was charming and industrial at the same time. In keeping with the extremely clean environment each unit had a funky and functional foot washing station that 'almost' ensured a sand-free floor. I could have showered for hours in the spacious semi indoor/outdoor rain shower!!

The hotel is absolutely beautiful and has a wonderful view overseeing San Agustinillo's bay. It is enclaved in the middle of nature, which immediately immerses you in a zen, and relaxing ambiance. While we were there, all of the guests were respectful towards the nature and the other guests. Making it a relaxing experience.
The personnel at the hotel is also outstanding. Very kind, proactive, and respectful.
We would also like to mention that the pool was an exceptional experience. Very relaxing and recharging.

San Agustinillo is a sleepy village where the primary activities are lounging, swimming, surfing, and eating. It seems European/North American expats make up a large proportion of permanent residents, making it difficult to discern who the tourists are, so expect to see high numbers of caucasians. Nearby Mazunte (15 min walk) is slightly larger but is much the same with more dining/shopping options open later into the evening, attracting a younger crowd.

Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children.
Lovely beach, but waves too big for young children. Quiet little town, much mellower then Mazunte. Lots of traffic on the main road. Remember to bring cash - the ATM overcharged us (and many others), and most places only accept cash. I'd definitelty recommend getting out on a boat to see dolphins, turtles, and maybe a whale!

It’s a small pretty town with fun activities and places to visit. It’s a good place to relax and forget about everything else. I’ll recommend visiting the neighbor towns (Puerto Angel, Zipolite, Mazunte, and Ventanilla). Zipolite is a nude beach that has nice hotels, beach-clubs, and restaurants. Ventanilla is fun to see the Crocodiles, horse back ride, and turtles. Mazunte has the turtle museum which is not very good. It’s nice to walk around. Visit Punta cometa.

The beach is very nice.
The beach is very nice. There are some nice restaurants or bars on the street but not so many options and not so living place like mazunte. However, you can easily walk to mazunte and rinconcito street.

This accommodation was 10/10.
This accommodation was 10/10. We rented a scooter for 500mx/day which was easy to travel between the town of Mazunte/Zipolite and San Agustinillo with no issues (day or night). I would highly recommend this stay if you are looking for a little more remote and relaxation. It is a little out of the main town so a scooter was convenient. Otherwise, the hotel will help you getting a cab whenever you need.

It requires a short uphill walk to reach the hotel, but it's not too bad/ If you ask the hotel staff, they'll show you a shortcut. Bring a flashlight for walking back to the hotel at night.
The hotel was very small and felt very private and safe. When you wake up you'll get to see the most beautiful sunrise from your balcony accompanied by birdsong.
The staff didn't speak English, but they were very kind, helpful, friendly, and made me feel at home.
Casa Mono is located in a beautiful and private spot only minutes away from the center of San Agustinillo. Our hosts were super helpful, making sure the electricity and water system were up and running after a storm had passed through the night before. Rooms were impeccable. They took their time to show us around the property and made themselves readily available. Overall, excellent hospitality. We are definitely coming back to stay at this property.
Perfectly located hotel right at the beach away from any noise (you only hear the waves at night). Rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. On-site restaurant is great and the owner and all the staff are very friendly and always willing to help with anything. Overall a perfect place to stay to relax and enjoy the beautiful beach of San Augustinillo.
Its not a hotel, more like a small Villa.
Stunning views on the Augustinillo bay from the pool and the rooms with view.
But also the other rooms are of great quality and you can see the sea.
Well designed and comfortable rooms.
Good breakfast.
Personnel very helpful.
Its 30 min walking in humid heat to the beach, better bring car or moto.
This property is wonderful -- all the rooms have outstanding views, and the decor is simple and elegant. The restaurant is delicious and the hotel is located within a 10 minute walk to the beach. I can't say enough nice things about the staff here: so friendly, attentive, nice, considerate! I really enjoyed my stay with them. Thank you!
The staff was amazing, they're very friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were delicious. All facilities were very comfortable and nice. It was great having the beach in front of the hotel. It was very relaxing. I would definitely stay here again!
The hotel is right on the beach and ocean. You can hear the waves crashing down about 50 feet from your room door, fantastic. we also enjoyed the courtyard pool as well as the restaurant that is part of the hotel.
Such a beautiful view from a delightful deck! Delicious breakfast, comfy bed, the rooms were stunning! San Agustinillo is a lovely, rustic beach town. Everything we needed for a quiet and comfortable stay.
nicely designed hotel, not too big
incredible views over the bay
big bathroom, with hot water
location is good, close to beach and restaurants, and far enough from the main street thus little noise
San Agustinillo is beautiful and quiet. The cabanas as close to the ocean as it gets, the entire property is on the sand!! The food and drinks were great! Everyone is very friendly.
I thought the location was good if you like to be a 15 min to 20 min walk from the main town. there were plenty of restaurants where we stayed within walking distance of 5 min
