Lots to see and as we had a car we were able to explore the island as well .Excellent choice of restaurants fantastic food across the board . We were there for eight days a week would have been fine. Tip opt for a tourist boat rather than the cheaper ferry if visiting Symi- 3-4 hours is about right- 8 hours is twice as long as needed unless you want to shop till you drop. . The ferries are very clean, comfortable , efficient and reliable very good value for a trip to Kos . We needed to change froom pounds to Euro's preferring not to use the readily available ATM's There ia a casino that changes money on the Penisula close to the very good Aquarioum. Great monuments, charming narrow streets, lots of flowers, excellent cuisine. But it's best to enjoy it all in the morning, before the crowds flood the streets, or late in the evening. Rhodes is a well kept town but is very busy during the day.
Rhodes is a well kept town but is very busy during the day. The archeology and the museums are the main attraction. The bus service is superb and within walking distance of the old town. The weather in May was hot at around 28° and at times quite humid. The downside has to be the cobbled streets which are difficult to walk on.

Everything was wonderful. However, the problem is using public transport because you don't know the exact departure and return times of the bus. Some workers are very kind, but there are also workers who do not know English and are sometimes rude. Rhodes town exceeded my expectations.
Rhodes town exceeded my expectations. I had no idea how beautiful the town would be, the people are very friendly and it is super easy to navigate! There is plenty of choice for food, cheap and expensive. Be aware of the local scams of beer/cocktails. ALWAYS ask to see prices and how much the pints are. There are a couple of establishments who trick you into a 'medium' or 'large' beer and they bring out 2L pints costing ££££.

The hotel was like a small vila located inside the old town with delicious breakfast, gorgeous courtyard, and quiet night. We passed by a few other boutique hotels nearby and thought Zacosta is the true low key hidden gem which we prefer. Highly recommend it and would definitely stay here again if we come to Rhodes next time. Thank you John for the great hospitality!

It is located in a nice neighborhood right outside of the old town which you can reach very quickly on foot. We booked a double room but got an upgrade to a bigger apartment, which we appreciated very much. The hosts (a family that runs the hotel) are extremely kind and hospitable - they make you feel as if you were their personal guests. Breakfast was great and a really good value for money. Highly recommended for a stay in Rhodes town!

He then carried our luggages on the scooter to the house. The room is very beautifully and uniquely decorated. It matches the knight island. It has everything you would need for home. Bed is the most comfortable one I have slept on during my 14-day trip at Greece. We wish we could stay longer! It will be one of our most memorable stay. Its at the tip of the island, surrounded by beach and the open sea. There are lovely beach side restaurants close by, and its a pleasant short walk to the old town. The hotel has a swimming pool and bar area. The breakfast selection is excellent and the staff are very helpful. We had a city view room, but I'm sure its worth paying the extra for a sea view room. The location is perfect for the port for ferries as only a 5 minute walk away. Arranged transport with them direct and they were waiting for us when we docked. The guy who picked us up is also the chef and we ate at the hotel on the night we stayed. I can honestly say the food was amazing. Oven baked feta and the meatballs were the best we have had. Definitely recommend this fab hotel.
