We really liked the facilities all around. The hotel was clean and modern. The staff were friendly. The pool was clean, and water temp was good. (Pictures of hotel show a hot tub, but it has apparently been removed.) The room and bathroom were clean with plenty of space. The bed was comfortable. Shower had hot water and great water pressure. Bath towels were nice and fluffy, unlike so many hotel towels that are paper thin. We had easy check-in. We did have a decent breakfast, and their options included bacon, sausage, egg&chz omelets, bagels, cereals and waffles. Coffee was always available, and it was good coffee.

We visit Madison quite often because we have family in the area. We love the farmers market at the capital and the night life downtown. The comedy clubs are awesome and it is just beautiful walking around.

Mainstay suite hotel was not what I expected.
Mainstay suite hotel was not what I expected. STAFF was very rude. Me and my gf were organizing our suitcase waiting for our cab andthey wanted us out of there NOW. Was very disappointed especially when we didn't get there until after 10pm. Madison its self was beautiful. I wouldn't stay at this hotel.

We just stayed the night as we were travelling back from business (hauling a vehicle). The hotel was extremely clean and the room was just as clean! The bed was so comfortable we didn't want to get up. The breakfast was hot the coffee was ready and the price was awesome! The location was right off the interstate, so it was perfect (and had a huge parking lot that we could get in and out of with our rig! I highly recommend staying here even for one night... totally worth every penny!

I traveled to Madison to celebrate my sister's milestone birthday. I have been there before and like the city as it has many beautiful lakes and parks. We even went to Bordner Park near my sister's house for an afternoon cake cutting. There were little kids in our group who especially enjoyed the park with a children's play area.
Madison has great dining options ranging in different prices. While I was there we went to Nonno's for dinner and La Brioche for lunch. Both were excellent choices. There was a lights show Gleam not far from Madison. Great show!
I think Madison offers a lot for a short weekend getaway.

Madison is a really nice city to visit they have a lot of great attractions. Olbrich Garden the Vilas Zoo, and the Museum of Contemporary Art were all great and free. If you're in Madison on a Wednesday or Saturday, make sure to visit farmer's market. It was amazing.
A great value in downtown Madison! Walking distance to nearly everything, near the campus and the capitol. Convenient off-street parking, with a very secure entry to the hotel. The pleasant surprise was the bar and restaurant. The bartender was at the top of his game, making two superb versions of our favorite cocktails efficiently, delivering them with a smile.
The front desk staff couldn't have been better, cheerful and professional.
The hotel is obviously mostly a holding facility for sick patients of the nearby university hospital. There are hospital chairs in the rooms. The breakfast room was very unpleasant, with sick people coughing and expectorating during breakfast, even near and over the buffet. I would not have chosen this hotel had I known about that or the draconian mask rules that were in place.
The hotel is just greatly located, with everything you might need for a stay in Madison.
There's nothing to complain about, the staff are incredible, rooms are clean, bed is comfortable.
HOWEVER, the Location is absolutely perfect, central to everything you might need, whether to see the sites or go barhopping, this is the hotel to go to, you can walk everywhere.
Location was good for its money: you can go to the downtown by bus - it takes aprx 20 mins. Hotel building is quite new, so all facilities are good. Breakfast was okey - good choice of dishes. Hot food is available. Window view was great - you can even see the Capitol. Neighborhood is quiet and safe. Also, park is not far from the hotel and you can walk to the lake.
We traveled with a youth team and having the amazing lobby space to enjoy dinner together and an evening of games and socializing is what keeps bring us back to these hotels:)
I also appreciate the clean, spacious rooms, especially the non carpeted floor feels much cleaner to me.
the place was super clean, the staff very helpful and friendly, the only thing was the location, which wasn't the hotel's fault; there was no easy way to get there from the UW - Madison.
hopefully more freeways better access will be built as this was great hotel.
Great Hotel in the Western half of Madison, this is one of the main hotels we stay at every time we come to Madison. This hotel has great central access to many different restaurants, shops and other activities.
Beds and pillows were comfortable, A/C worked great, good price, nice distance from downtown Madison, decent breakfast, very kind staff at the front desk and housekeeping we passed by in the hallway
We were in town to go yo Madison Art Fair. Location of hotel made it easy to get back n forth to the Fair. Free Parking was a Huge Perk. Hotel is very clean & comfy. Breakfast was good too.
The price and online pictures/amenities led us to book this hotel a year in advance. We were meeting in Madison for a large event that causes hotels in and around Madison to book full.
Hotel was extremely clean and quiet. Pool and hot tub were enjoyable. Hotel was in a great location to many attractions in the area. Very close to the highway and centrally located.
