Cosy spot with a lot of tourist information on display.
Nice little terrace and possibility for campfire just outside the cabin (not during fire ban though :) ).
You don't see the owner during your stay, but the owner is very responsive via the chat on Booking.com.

The property was perfect, only a few miles away from the entrance to a great national park. Since you have a limited selection of restaurants and grocery stores, it offers you the opportunity to cook in. Would definitely recommend it to others.

The house is very spacious.
The house is very spacious. I went with my family - 2 Adults and 2 Children. House can accommodate at least 6 people. Cabin is beautiful and has everything you need. Kitchen fully equipped. The local restaurants are great, especially the Wild Berry, the sherpa food one. The woman who ran Alexander's Lodge was awesome, she went over and beyond trying to make people happy. Very pretty setting, nice rooms and the sitting room was extra room to spread out. I would go back!

Surprising Food, Comfortable Stay
Surprising Food, Comfortable Stay Ashford is a service town for Mount Rainier National Park. Strung out along Highway 706 for the last few miles before the entrance, it's great for mountaineers and tourists. I ate at the Wild Berry Cafe, owned and operated by Sherpa immigrants who bring their food and culture to this tiny, rural corner of Washington State. The Gateway Inn, adjacent to the Nisqually Gate of the Park, is a comfortable older hotel. It's a perfect basecamp for a short stay or as the beginning or ending overnight spot for your adventure. I stayed in one of the older cabins, warm and cozy, on my recent overnight business trip. It's located near a few restaurants and the property is nestled in the woods. It's an older historic motel, but it's comfortable with appropriate updates. The staff was very kind and helpful. Everything is detailed and explained clearly. It is so close to the access of Longmire, Mount Rainier, you don't have to drive hours to enter. The town has cute little local restaurants and everything is cozy and relaxing. Across the house is a small lake if you want to take a swim or sit and just admire.
