I love the small town feel with so much to do. Be careful where you stay. There are some good deals on hotels, but, check the reviews before you book your room. There are so many beaches that you have good access to. We are motorcycle riders. There is a really cool bar on the beach called Woody's. Great views, friendly bar tenders. We ate at Doc Holiday's. Love it here. Have stayed several times. I love to stay on the Seawall close to the beach. Galveston is a beautiful city with wonderful old architecture and lots of shops and restaurants to satisfy every one.

If you are staying at the hotel, wait until check-in to buy passes for attractions. Paid parking is not really worth it. Free Parking lot is literally a few steps away. Shampoo and conditioner were provided in the bathrooms and there was a good selection of cookware and silverware, as well as wine glasses which were really appreciated.! The Board games provided were also a nice touch, and the AC worked well which is always a plus in Galveston, Also there was plenty of hot water,, as well as extra blankets and pillows.
