Value for money and facilities: Definitely family friendly and suitable for solo travellers. The hotel offers an incredible buffet breakfast, a great gym, basketball court, tennis and swimming pool area.
Location: I felt very safe. It's an 8 minute walk to the convention centre and a 20-30 minute walk to the French Quarter/ Smoothie King Centre/ Superdome. Only time I used a cab was to visit the Jazz Fest which was on the other side of town.
Staff: warm and approachable. They take good care of their guests and even offer cake, popcorn, information pamphlemts and flavoured water.
Guests: they keep to themselves and posed no trouble.
Room: I liked that the room had multiple TVs and a kitchen with a large fridge and freezer. The cleaners don't fix the room daily but you can ask for it if you need it.

The home of jazz, intriguing New Orleans evokes images of Louis Armstrong, wrought-iron balconies and mouth-watering Cajun cuisine. Louisiana’s largest city, in the heart of the Deep South, the ‘Big Easy’ is being regenerated in the wake of devastating hurricane Katrina.
One area relatively unscathed was Bourbon Street – where jazz saxophones ring out of traditional bars interspersed by others offering more colourful nightlife. There are several New Orleans hotels near Bourbon Street, spread around the French Quarter with its distinctive Creole architecture.
To the south is Jackson Square, dominated by the Disney-esque St Louis Cathedral. Horses and carts wait patiently by the square, and locals set up their stools and start playing catchy tunes. Just behind is the legendary Mississippi River whose waters are still plied by paddle steamers.
From the river you get great views of the CBD skyscrapers and beside them is the huge Louisiana Superdome sports venue. Booking.com has several hotels near the Superdome, including some on Canal Street – a historic road where streetcars and the famous New Orleans Mardi Gras carnival pass down.
In the northern suburbs is New Orleans City Park, one of the oldest US parks and larger than NYC’s Central Park. Waterways lining it flow into large Lake Pontchartrain bordered by a bayou – the typical wetlands of the state.

New Orleans is a magical city - and should be on everyone's list to visit at least once! Great food, music, art, vibe, great parks, and wonderful people!
Amazing restaurants to try: Jewel of the South for dinner, Paladar 511 for brunch, Revolution for one dish only - their Death by Gumbo (sublime!).
Super easy to get around - walking, Uber, driving.

New Orleans is a unique American city with a unique culture.
New Orleans is a unique American city with a unique culture. The creole/Cajun food is legendary and it is almost impossible to get a bad meal. The nightlife on Bourbon Street is not for the "faint of heart" but even a quick walk thru early in the day is a fun experience that you will not find in any other American city. And, don't forget the beignets at Cafe du Mondo - don't think about the empty calories, dig in, and enjoy!

Absolutely loved it.
Absolutely loved it. We stayed on the French quarter and thoroughly enjoyed the shops, cafes, and architecture of the area. You can get to so much just by walking which we did a lot of. There is a Walmart just a few miles away if you need other supplies. The only down fall was there is a large amount of homeless in the area. They are not a bother to people, just could be a culture shock since they sleep on the sidewalks. We would eat breakfast at Envie Coffee and Cafe nearly every day. They had a great variety of pastries, coffee, and wonderful omelets and bagel sandwiches. There is parking along the streets and lots of one-way roads so watch out. We up paid for our gated parking lot at our hotel vs parking along the streets. Well worth it to ensure our vehicle was kept safe. We stayed at Le Richelieu, and it was fantastic and pretty centrally located to all the shops including the French market. Another downfall is that Bourbon Street can get pretty crazy after 8 pm and even the locals will tell you to avoid walking around the area after dark. Stay in well-lit areas and to main streets if you do travel after dark.

Bring your shoes.
Bring your shoes. Not the place to be cute and it’s a very walkable city. Uber is pricey depending on where you stay and Bourbon Street is full of rotten fish smells and debauchery. I will visit again but stay on the quaint part of the French Quarter. It’s a very dirty city so don’t bring your best duds and be show offey cause it ain’t that type of party.

Amazing city with great vibes, music, bars and entertainment options. There are musicians on every street corner, the party goes 24/7, with people dancing on Bourbon street all night and overall happy, chilled vibe. Great food, the French District offers a lot to see, you can do shopping in the outlet store. Definitely a must-see location in the US!
Very accommodating and comforting location! This location beat the price of any hotel in the area and French Quarter vicinity. Parking is free, too! Very few offer free parking and are in walking distance to public transportation and the French Quarter. Don't let the area scare you. Everyone is polite, and the neighbors are always helpful. Chris, the property manager, is a very sweet young man. His crew will not leave you disappointed! My family will be booking with them directly in the future when we are back in New Orleans!
Spot was authentic.

We would love to stay here again and again or even own the property lol..
5 stars and above was the best first time experience of new orleans for my kids .. thanks Loyd
It was smack bang in the heart of New Orleans in the French quarter, and right next to that crazy fun street that is bourbon street, but surprisingly it’s a relatively quite stay considering how close it was.
This is my second time visiting New Orleans and before I said about 15 minute walk away from this location, and I’d come back to the Wyndham in a heart beat, was an awesome stay, and highly recommended.
The location of this hotel is AMAZING just a short walk across Canal street and you are in the heart of New Orleans- 15 minutes to Jackson Square/Cafe Du Monde/The French Quarter.
The bed was extremely comfortable and the decor of the entire hotel was so well done- little details like the shower curtain were even considered. I would absolutely come back here again!
wonderful place. Michael on reception was amazing, he made the stay even better. centrally located to walk everywhere we wanted to go, french quarter and all the attractions of new orleans a few steps away. The hotel and rooms are very large and clean. Would highly recommend this hotel Will definitely come back
Thank you for my great time
Our room was very spacious with excellent beds, nice furnitured and we enjoyed the balcony. The location is great, French quater just across the street. Staff is very friendly and helpfull. This all was a reason to extend our stay. When we come to NOLA next time, we'll choose Hampton Inn New Orleans French Quarter Market Area again.
What a perfect location to go anywhere in New Orleans! Frenchman street and French quarters are really close to hostel. And also bus stop is located in near the hostel, So if you want to go City park and the other area, You can go using 1 day jazzy pass! Accessibility is awesome!
The hotel was centrally located and we were able to walk deeper into the French Quarter, to Frenchman Street, to the Riverwalk and even to the Garden District. The staff was nice. Our room was very clean, had nice high ceilings and was spacious.
The best thing about this hotel is its proximity to the attractions of the French Quarter. That might be the only reason for its 4-star rating. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the hotel itself is a bit disappointing.
Hotel is conveniently located near French Quarter and downtown attractions. The rooms are very comfortable, and the hotel itself is a good size for a comfortable stay. Hotel is also quite attractive.
Hotel is Fabulous! Staff was Friendly and helpful in every way! Million Dollar Location...convenient to everything in French Quarter but still quiet and relaxing. This will be my go to in New Orleans!
When you want to stumble back from one of the bars on Bourbon Street drunk this is a great hotel. It is in a great location if you are only really planning to stay close to the French Quarter.
Wonderful place, we loved our stay here. Beautiful and so comfortable, great location to explore New Orleans without being in the middle of the chaos of the French Quarter.
Well New Orleans is like a second home to me. I love this hotel it is convent to the French quarters. And you can park your car and walk everywhere. Rooms are so spacious.
We had a really nice stay at the Hotel St Pierre during our visit in New Orleans. It is right into the French Quarter. The staff was really lovely and helpful.
