Huge fight directly outside my room with what looked like a hooker and her pimp. I am yet to have my deposit returned. Spoke with 2 separate employees and first one was clueless. Second one said she would handle it. I was refunded $5.55 and not even on the chime card I used for my deposit. I want my $50 deposit back

Lafayette is a great town, lots of dining options.
Lafayette is a great town, lots of dining options. The room at this facility was terrible. One light in the entire room. Bed linens looked dirty and looked to not have been changed from the previous guest. Bathroom linens were not hung on the racks and some were missing. one rack was laying behind the stool and the fasteners were still open on the wall. TV was stuffed on top of the wardrobe. Coffee pot, (No coffee) was on top of the microwave, shoved in a corner. When I dropped a pill on the floor, I found items left from previous guests between the bed and AC unit. Scary experience, Property looked nice on the outside. Room was horrible. Do not book at this facility before looking at your room!

It's exactly what you'd assume it is.
It's exactly what you'd assume it is. The neighborhoods near the Kampen Golf Course are nice. As with most cities, it's not as pedestrian friendly as it could be, but there are some sidewalk/trails to put one foot in front of the other.

People make the place.
People make the place. I found the various places I visited (restaurants, stores, gas stations, etc.) that people were cordial and took pride in their work.
Otherwise, Lafayette was pretty clean, traveling about was smooth and without hectic traffic, and the main strip offered pretty much everything a guest would want.

Lovely city, GREAT restaurants.
Lovely city, GREAT restaurants. Ya gotta go to Arni's original location, have a JR salad and pizza! (pepperoni is ground up, not in circles!) Another must is Lindo Mexico, beautiful place and awesome food!
Tour Purdue!
Take a drive out and about!
I have a family reunion every year in the area and have been staying at this hotel since the first year it was open. Love the location and the staff is always so friendly. I'm always with my 80+ year old mother and aunt and the handicap accessible room has plenty of space for all their things and walkers. They are both diabetic also and having the refrigerator and kitchen area is great for having food and supplies for blood sugar drops, etc.
The breakfast and dinner buffets were phenomenal. I do not recall a better selection or service. The manager, Brad, even conversed with us at both settings. The Meet & Greet as very unexpected but so very pleasant. We frequently visit Lafayette for family and business, other than a few uncomfortable issues, we may keep this hotel in mind.
Location is great. Value for the money we paid. Other than that I really had no big expectations. It’s a very good option if you’re dropping someone off to Purdue and using the hotel just to sleep. Room size is good for a family of 3. Breakfast options are coffee, juice, danish and cereal.
The breakfast was fine. Unfortunately that was all we got to experience as our reservation was cancelled and they rebooked us next door at the Best Western Plus, that was still being "renovated." They allowed my family to come over in the morning for the breakfast.
The staff was amazing. The hotel was clean quiet and relaxing. Overall best hotel stay I have had in the Lafayette area. Washer and dryer worked first wash and dry most hotels I've been to the dryer normally regardless of load size has to go at least two times.
My young son was very excited to stay in a hotel as part of a drive to our vacation destination. He loved being on the third floor to look out the window at the view, the huge room, and the many breakfast options in the morning.
We unexpectedly were delayed by a flat tire in Indianapolis. Called the hotel to let them know we would check in later than expected. When we arrived, they remembered our call & expressed their happiness that we arrived safely.
I stayed on a Wednesday night. The hotel was quiet, the bed was very comfortable. And the person at the front desk accommodated my request for a room away from the elevator. I had a great night’s sleep.
Honestly, there was nothing that I liked about this hotel. The only benefit of staying here was that was close to Purdue University and we stayed there while visiting campus.
