Loved the location, staff, room, only downside is the scramble for breakfast which really doesn’t work in that small room.

Everything, private beach so not too busy - Noah on reception on check in was amazing and the room was just enough for 2 nights by the beach, what an amazing place to visit
Goods beach restaurants. Easy to get around, clean and well kept. We ate all but 3 meals in the house so we could "visit" since none of us live close to the others. It was too cool to swim at the beach bur we had Frisbees. kites and chairs. It was very pleasant watching sunsets. It seems to be a clean, quiet, community of nice houses. This is our third time there. On a rainy day we went bowling on a nice day played put-put. When heat in pool finally fixed, kids spent a lot of time there.

This is one of the hidden spots that I found on booking.com.
This is one of the hidden spots that I found on booking.com. I was not sure about it when I first booked it but once we arrived and checked in, I knew we would be coming back every chance we get. The downtown area is great and was an easy walk from the hotel. We did not want a massive resort and were very happy with the Bali Hai. I have already recommended it to several people from Atlanta.

I have been several times to escape a week or two of Missouri winters. I love this beach. There is nothing I don't love. The sand is white and soft, the Gulf is beautiful, and warm enough to romp or swim in. The long shore line is perfect for walks. There is a beach cafe with great food, showers, restroom, and changing station. Publix supermarket is a short walk away, and has a wide variety of food. The free trolley takes you anywhere on the island. I cannot think of one thing that would make it more perfect.

Terrible No-see-ums. Sunset very nice. Crowded.
Terrible No-see-ums. Sunset very nice. Crowded. Roads flood during heavy rain. Our hotel, Hayleys at Anna Maria Inn, was extremely disappointing. Ridiculously overpriced for what we got. Approximately 1,000' from the beach. We paid $378 for a small room with a microscopic bathroom (the shower was tiny, less than 36" x 36") and the sink next to the bed. Furniture is old and well used. Fridge was not turned-on when we arrived (useless) and there are no beverage amenities such as free water, which is the least you would expect for $378/night. This would be a $60/night room anywhere else. Beware, this is a tourist trap and damaging to the Anna Maria Island brand. We will not return.

Holmes Beach is near all.
Holmes Beach is near all. The sand and the water are beautiful. You feel like you are in another country. There is a free trolley. Many small stores to stop by and look or buy something, like delicious icecream or jewelry. It is a lovely place.
We loved the location of the villa, so close to the beach with all its facilities and also near to shops ( Publix etc) You could easily stay here without a car and use the free trolley bus which takes you about the island. Nice clean, beachy feel to the decor .Lovely warm pool at the front of the villa still felt private as the street is a dead end so not many folk going past . Felt at home straight away and didn't want to leave after our 2 week stay. Would love to book this villa again !!
The location was awesome, a 30 second walk to the beach. The unit was clean and very comfortable. It's got a retro feel but not in an old, musty way. It's really old Florida style. It was also very private even though there are other cottages on the property. We come to AMI a couple of times a year and we've never wanted to stay in the other places again, but we will definitely be back here.
Check in process was easy, parking is awesome with reserved spots. The grounds are well kept and very Florida. The location is just perfect of course.
The room itself was perfectly clean, the bed was extremely comfortable, definitely a great stay.
The house is clean, and so much bigger than I expected. The location is perfect, so close to the peaceful beach. Not crowded at all on that beach. The whole experience was wonderful. Our first time on Anna Maria Island. We will return for sure.
I've not lodged in a non-franchised hotel in decades. Was a little leery of renting this place for fear it'd be rundown or unkempt. To my great surprise, the property and our room were both excellent: clean, well-appointed, and comfortable.
The resort hotel, a sweet little gem. Located on the coast of the island. The hotel has a big and good pool, an adjacent beach, clean and quiet.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Clean rooms and atmosphere of freedom.
Great location, near the gorgeous beach and charming surroundings. We could borrow chairs that we could use on the beach. Parking just outside of the door.
