Destin is a beautiful area for families The beach is clean and the sand is soft and white. There are so many things to do in the area. Driving is a bit of a hassle, but the rental of a golf cart looked like a smart idea. We ate at Fat Clemenza's and the Surf Hut. Both were excellent for the food and the ambiance. We also ate at Fudpuckers, but once we were seated, it took forever to be served our food. My husband and I came for our babymoon in February. It was cool - but coming from the NorthEast Winter, it was exactly the escape we needed. We spent almost everyday walking around the resort, visiting the swimming pools (The main pool was heated which was great for taking a dip, and the Market Street pool was perfect for sunbathing in remote quiet), and biked several times around the entire resort and to the beach. The biking paths were our favorite aspect of the resort - we saw so many beautiful views and renting the bikes was easy! The food at Baytowne Wharf was perhaps some of the best eats we've ever had and the bay and beach sunsets should NOT be missed!DohertyUnited States - 10Scored 10

Nice sandy beach. Possible to hire chairs and a parasol but very expensive! Close to shops and restaurants. Would have liked to visit the Turtle Conservation center but it was closed when we were in Destin so we visited Fort Pickens instead

I am a past business owner in Destin . I've always loved the area from South Walton County thru Ft. Walton Beach and Destin is right in the middle. I have many friends in Destin and love to see them . AJs always is fun as is Brotula's, Dewey Destins, and Margaritaville. The harbour is my home away from home . You can't go wrong with the charter fishing boats and the Christian captains such as Disipleship,5thDay etc.Laedeke

It was a quick stop so thought this would be nothing more than a transit hotel. It was much more pleasant than that. Very walm welcome and even got us a reduced room rate at check-in! Room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was plentiful and restocked almost immediately. Staff were all very friendly, just couldn't fault it. Parking was also easy.
